Honkai Star Rail players are excited about the second phase of the 1.6 update because it finally brings Dr. Ratio to the game. The latest banner is headlined by Dr. Ratio, but players could get it as a free character directly in their mailbox after Honkai Star Rail won in the Best Mobile Game category in The Game Awards 2023.
So, if you want to power up your new five-star unit, here are all the materials you’ll need to Ascend Dr. Ratio and level his Traces up in Honkai Star Rail.

- 12x Past Grievances of the Planet-Boring Disaster
- 11x Tracks of Destiny
- 3,000,000 Credits

Do note that Past Grievances of the Planet-Boring Disaster is a new material that was introduced with the 1.6 update. A new Formidable Foe called Starcrasher Swarm King: Skaracabaz appeared on Herta Space Station, giving players the chance to get this new Trace level-up material.
Keep in mind that you don’t need to level up all of Dr. Ratio’s Traces right away. You can focus on improving the ones that best suit your playstyle or the ones you see yourself using more often in battle if you have limited resources.
