Honkai Star Rail Jiaoqiu leaks & everything we know
HoYoverseAfter many twists and turns, Honkai Star Rail completed the Penacony storyline, but many players are already thinking about what’s coming next.
Leaks suggest the story will return to the Xianzhou Alliance to reunite players with some characters while also introducing new additions. So, here’s everything we know about Jiaoqiu in HSR, including his leaked abilities, expected release date, and more.
Who is Jiaoqiu?
Jiaoqiu is described as “a foxian healer from the Xianzhou Yaoqing and a counselor.” He’s “skilled in the study of alchemical prescription that views food as medicine” and will be part of the next storyline in HSR.
Leaks suggest players will go back to the Xianzhou Alliance, just like Genshin Impact keeps adding areas and activities in Liyue every year. Jiaoqiu’s official description says he’s treating General Feixiao, who’s rumored to be a new boss and playable character in coming updates.
Does Jiaoqiu have a release date?
No, HoYoverse haven’t revealed Jiaoqiu’s release date yet, but he’s expected to arrive with the 2.4 update that’s coming in late July 2024.
We’ll make sure to update this section once Jiaoqiu’s release date is officially revealed.
Leaked abilities
- Heart Afire (Basic ATK) – Deals Fire DMG to a single target enemy.
- Scorch Onslaught (Skill) – Deals Fire DMG to a single enemy and additional Fire DMG to adjacent units. Additionally, inflicts one stack of Ashen Roast on the primary target.
- Pyrograph Arcanum (Ultimate) – Sets the number of Ashen Roast stacks on enemy targets to the highest number of stacks present on the battlefield. Then, activates Field and deals massive Fire DMG to all enemies. While inside the Field, enemy targets take 18% increased Ultimate DMG, with a chance of being inflicted with one stack of Ashen Roast when taking action. The Field lasts for three turns and is dispelled if Jiaoqiu is knocked down.
- Quartet Finesse, Octave Finery (Talent) – When Jiaoqiu uses his Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate to hit an enemy, there’s a 100% base chance of dealing one stack of Ashen Roast, increasing the initial DMG enemies receive, with each stack additionally increasing DMG to a max of five stacks. Ashen Roast lasts for two turns.
- Fiery Queller (Technique) – Creates a special dimension that lasts for 15 seconds. After engaging enemies in the dimension, deals Fire DMG to all enemies and applies one stack of Ashen Roast.
Jiaoqiu is a Fire element character in the Path of The Nihility. These characters specialize in applying debuffs on enemies to weaken them. Do note that all of the abilities above come from leaks, so they might change when Jiaoqiu debuts.
Some leakers are describing Jiaoqiu as a five-star Pela, with a focus on debuffs that could work well alongside Acheron. Previous rumors suggested Jiaoqiu would have healing abilities, but that’s not the case during the current 2.4 beta of HSR.
Leaked Light Cone
Jiaoqiu is a five-star character in Honkai Star Rail, meaning he’ll debut alongside his signature Light Cone, and here’s its leaked description:
Those Many Springs
Increases the wearer’s Effect Hit Rate by 60% for starters. When the wearer uses a Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate on enemy targets, there is a 60% base chance to inflict Unarmored to the enemy. Under the Unarmored state, the target enemy’s DMG received is increased by 10% for two turns.
That’s not all, as when the wearer deals DMG to an enemy with the Unarmored effect inflicted by themselves, there is a 60% base chance to escalate the Unarmored state from them into the Cornered state, which increases the target enemy’s DMG received by 18%.
Nihility characters will benefit from this Light Cone, so keep an eye out when Jiaoqiu debuts.
