The exclusive Resurgence game mode is a part of Warzone’s upcoming Season 1, and it stands out because of its unique set of rules. Here’s what you should know about the highly anticipated mode.

Warzone Season 1 is just around the corner and it’s bringing along new content such as 16 new challenges, Gulag experiences, an attack helicopter, and much more. The features that fans are most excited about the in update are a new map and game mode.

Rebirth Island is a defunct Soviet base that now serves as chemical bioweapon testing facility and prison. You can explore various labs, barracks, and buildings in this massive map, and it comes with an exclusive game mode called Resurgence.

This mode places great emphasis on respawning and survival. Here’s how it works.

How does Resurgence mode work?

This competitive mode follows the last man or squad standing objective, so you’ll have to eliminate your foes before they can get you. The fun part is that whenever you kill your enemy, you’ll get the exact location of the rest of their team.

The Gulag is closed in Resurgence mode, so you’ll have to wait for the ‘Rebirth Countdown’ to reach zero. At that point, every remaining squad will get back their dead teammates. These different rules and restrictions encourage a mix of both aggressive and defensive play styles.

If your team keeps scoring kills then you can consistently find out where the enemies are and annihilate them. All the while, you’ll try to keep your team alive so that you stay ahead.

On the other hand; if you’re getting killed then you’ll have to watch your squad, and hope that they don’t get wiped out before the Rebirth Countdown goes down.

If you’ve ever tackled the Alcatraz map in Call of Duty Blackout, then you’ll notice a few similarities between the two modes. The biggest and most obvious difference with Resurgence is the lack of flesh-eating zombie hoards.

This mode is bound to keep you constantly moving in battle, and Rebirth Island serves as the perfect setting to enjoy Resurgence. Be sure to give it a go when Season 1 of Warzone releases on December 16.
