How to change your crosshair in GTA Online

A commonly overlooked setting in GTA Online is that you can change your crosshair to a traditional reticle, so here’s how.

GTA Online change crosshair

Many GTA Online players have trouble tracking the small default crosshair dot, but what’s gone under the radar for many players is that you can change your reticle.

GTA Online has been around for almost eight years now, but it’s still just as popular as it ever was thanks to continuous updates and the role-playing community. Even though the game has been out for so long, players are still discovering new secrets in Los Santos such as mysterious skeletons and ways to make a quick buck.

Although there are plenty of activities to fill up your time in GTA online, at its core, it’s a shooting game. Taking part in heists, battling other players in PvP, and going on rampages are all part of the thrill of Grand Theft Auto Online.

Something that many GTA Online players may not know is that you can change your crosshair, so here’s how.

How to change your reticle in GTA Online

GTA online weapons

Although simple to do, changing your crosshair is something that has gone under the radar for many players. Recently, Reddit user cvsnoweagle said that “after 7 years playing,” they “just learned there is a complex aiming view.”

Complex Aiming View is a setting for your crosshair that swaps it from the simple dot to a more traditional crosshair that tailors itself to whatever weapon you’re holding. As the Reddit user explained, it’s easy to lose the reticle on-screen, so this setting is well worth checking out.

Here’s how to change your crosshair in GTA Online:

  1. Load up GTA Online
  2. Press ‘Start’
  3. Scroll across to ‘Settings’
  4. Select ‘Display’
  5. Find the ‘Weapon Target’ setting
  6. Toggle ‘Weapon Target’ from ‘Simple’ to ‘Complex’

If you’d prefer to use the simple dot, but want it to be bigger or smaller, the ‘Simple Reticle Size’ option is right below ‘Weapon Target.’

GTA Online Complex crosshair

With Weapon Targeting set to Complex, each weapon will have its own specific crosshair. Assault Rifles have a traditional cross, and Shotguns have a wide crosshair to simulate the pellet spread.

Each weapon will now have more of a distinct feel, and it’s much easier to keep an eye on the dot in the midst of the action or when facing the sun.

Now you can tailor your reticle to how you’d like it, you can check out the best weapons GTA Online has to offer.

Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy weapon tier list

Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy has brought with it a heap of changes in the patch notes, some of which have created a new Apex Legends weapon tier list.

apex legends legacy weapons

Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy is finally here. Just like any season, it has also brought a bunch of changes with the patch notes, including buffs and nerfs to the weapons that have allowed a new Apex Legends weapon tier list to emerge.

Apex Legends Legacy has seen players experience the new Arenas mode, Valkyrie, Infested Olympus, and the Bocek Bow. Although there have been many server issues since its release on May 4th, Season 9 has been a great success so far.

Prior to release, Respawn Entertainment released the Legacy patch notes where we got to see the nerfs and buffs for all the weapons, but now players have been able to get their hands on the new season, it is much easier to tell what ones are at the top.

Apex Legends Season 9 Legacy weapon tier list

As it’s a new season, we thought it would be helpful to compose a tier list for all the weapons in Legacy, as well as the best weapons in each class, so let’s jump into it.

The tier system:

  • S-Tier weapons are the best
  • A-Tier are amazing in their own right
  • B-Tier weapons are just missing something
  • C-Tier are weapons that players should avoid

Apex Legends Season 9 Legacy weapon tier list

  • S-Tier: Bocek Bow, Spitfire, Sentinel, R-301, Peacekeeper, Prowler, Kraber, Triple Take
  • A-Tier: Volt, Alternator, Flatline, G7 Scout, Wingman, Charge Rifle, Eva-8, L-Star
  • B-Tier: Hemlock, Havoc, Mastiff, Devotion, 30-30 Repeater, Longbow
  • C-Tier: Mozambique, P2020, RE-45

Best weapons in Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy

The proceeding list is the best weapons in the current Apex Legends meta for each class, excluding the care package weapons. The Triple Take, Kraber, and Prowler are all-powerful, but you won’t find them in most games, hence their exclusion.

Best LMG – Spitfire

Apex Legends Legacy weapons spitfire

Although the Spitfire received a slight nerf, increasing the recoil on the gun’s first few bullets, it’s still an absolute machine. Any weapon with over 30 bullets in the base magazine will be strong in Apex Legends, as not only is the damage and range good, but the best thing about the Spitfire is how long it can shoot for, especially with an extended mag.

This makes it the best of the LMGs, as although the L-Star and Devotion both have large magazine sizes, the damage, range, and recoil control on the Spitfire are far superior.

Best SMG – Volt

Apex Legends Legacy weapons volt

Since the R-99 received a nerf back in Season 8, the Volt has taken its place at the top of the SMGs, with the Alternator coming close in second. The Volt is a great close-ranged weapon, but it is the best SMG because of its ability to do damage at medium range.

Further, the recoil is very easy to control, especially with attachments, and the Volt works great with a 2x bruiser to make sure you’re hitting those shots.

The ability to gun someone down at both close and medium range, as well as great iron sights, is what makes the Volt the best SMG in Apex Legends Legacy.

Best AR – R-301

Apex Legends Legacy weapons r301

The R-301 is by far the most reliable weapon in Apex Legends Legacy and has been for a while now. Not only is the recoil extremely easy to control, but it also has long-range capabilities with the Anvil Receiver Hop-up, as well as close-range fire rate and hip-fire accuracy.

The R-301 is always a great weapon to pick up and allows you to be more experimental with your secondary, as you can use it as a closer or longer-ranged weapon.

Best Sniper – Sentinel

sentinel

Now that the Longbow has been nerfed with the removal of Skullpiercer and the Triple Take has become a care package weapon, the Sentinel is now the strongest sniper in the game.

Even without the shield cell charge up, which is very strong, the Sentinel performs well. Although it has a slow fire rate, it hits hard in the chest and especially the head.

Apart from the Kraber, the Sentinel has the greatest damage per bullet in the sniper category, usually dropping someone in 2 to 3 shots, and it’s even more efficient when it’s amped up with shield cells.

Best Marksman Rifle – Bocek Bow

bocek bow

The Bocek Bow is the latest addition to the weapons in Apex Legends, becoming part of the new category, Marksman Rifles.

Players have already discovered just how strong this weapon is, hitting huge damage with every arrow. One of the main reasons it’s so strong is because of how silent it is. Gaining an angle on someone and taking them out when they have no idea where you are feels very satisfying.

Further, it is also the only weapon in the game that takes two Hop-ups, Shatter Caps and Deadeyes Tempo, which are both very good. Shatter Caps converts the Bocek Bow into a shotgun, dealing damage up-close, while Deadeyes Tempo allows players to increase the fire rate upon successful pullbacks.

As well as the huge damage output, these are the reasons the Bocek Bow is arguable the strongest weapon in the game right now.

Best Shotgun – Peacekeeper

peacekeeper

After being replaced by the Triple Take as a care package weapon, the Peacekeeper finally returns to floor loot. The Peacekeeper feels just as good as it ever has, now with the Precision Choke built-in, making it a great choice for close and even medium range.

As the Mastiff received a big nerf last season, the Peacekeeper officially took its place as the strongest shotgun in the game.

Best Pistol – Wingman

wingman

This isn’t a tough decision, as the Wingman is only competing with the RE-45 and the P2020. However, the Wingman is still the hard-hitting powerhouse it has always been.

If you’re hitting your shots with this weapon, it’s extremely deadly and a great option as a secondary for anyone with a fast, rushing playstyle. Although it has a slight nerf with the removal of Skullpiercer, it’s still powerful and can still hold the Quickdraw Hop-up, allowing for a fast ADS.

There you have it, the tier list and best weapons in each class for Apex legends Season 9: Legacy. For more on Apex, keep it locked on Charlie INTEL for news and updates, and if you liked this article, check out our recent one on the best Legends to use in the Arenas.

The hype has been very real for the next major chapter in the famous Resident Evil franchise. The survival-horror icon has been a mainstay in the genre, cultivating a legacy over the past 25 years. Resident Evil Village is merely an extension of Resident Evil 7 and expanded upon even further with more big moments and epic characters.

There’s a bit more of a focus on combat and making the most of the game’s strong arsenal of guns. So to topple Lady Dimitrescu and her cohorts, here are all the weapons you’ll gain access to during the main story, and tips on which ones will best serve your purpose.

Also, check out our guide to making money fast in Resident Evil Village.

resident evil village gameplay

Here’s an explanation of our tier system:

  • S-Tier weapons are the best for every situation
  • A-Tier are amazing in their own right
  • B-Tier weapons are just missing something
  • C-Tier ones are not worth your time

Our Resident Evil Village weapon tier list:

  • S-Tier: F2 Rifle, W870 TAC Shotgun, M1851 Wolfsbane Magnum, SYG-12 Shotgun
  • A-Tier: M1897 Shotgun, GM 79 Grenade Launcher, V61 Machine Pistol
  • B-Tier: M1911 Pistol
  • C-Tier: LEMI Pistol

LEMI Pistol

resident evil village lemi

As with any Resident Evil game, you will start off with a rudimentary Pistol designed to just help you scrape by the game’s first few meaty encounters. The LEMI is no different, and even with upgrades, it will quickly become an afterthought.

Just use it as much as you can early on and forget about conserving ammo, especially with the game’s first major Lycan set-piece, as health is far more important.

M1911 Pistol

resident evil village M1911

The M1911 isn’t too dissimilar to the LEMI in many respects as it’s a fairly standard weapon that’s base stats are just a bit better. We do like the fire rate on it, and, again, it’s a useful weapon to use at the time of acquiring.

V61 Machine Pistol

resident evil village v61

When you finally come across the V61 Machine Pistol, you can pretty much wave goodbye to any of your Pistols as the V61 will take over their responsibilities now. It’s useful in practically any situation or battle, and once you slap an upgrade or two on it, it will quite often be your go-to gun.

Make sure to give its firepower the attention as its fire rate and ammo is already decent.

M1851 Wolfsbane Magnum

resident evil village m1851

There’s a giddy moment in Capcom’s games when you finally get your hands on the game’s Magnum. The famous revolver carries on the game’s legacy by providing players with yet another unbelievably powerful gun.

Even more so than the GM 79 Grenade Launcher, we highly recommend you conserve its use and preserve its limited ammunition, waiting until you encounter significantly more dangerous foes.

M1897 Shotgun

resident evil village M1897

Your first punchy weapon you obtain in Resident Evil Village. It does what every other basic Shotgun has ever done, be a monster up-close, and kill enemies in one or two shots at the expensive of fire rate and reload time.

With the M1897 you need to master the art of patience. Wait for an enemy to be within touching distance of your person before unleashing a devastating shell into them to possibly kill them in one shot.

W870 TAC Shotgun

resident evil village W870

A better version of the M1897, the W870 TAC Shotgun could potentially be your main weapon if you’re good at conserving ammo. You get it at a decent point in the game, so upgrading its firepower and fire rate is key. Again, concentrate your shots, aim for the head, and your patience will be rewarded with greater damage done.

SYG-12 Shotgun

resident evil village syg

A late-game addition to the pack, the SYG-12 Shotgun will become the de facto Shotgun, especially with enhancements to improve its capabilities. It’s powerful, fast, and is very well-balanced.

You can probably sell the other two shoguns, if you still have them, once you have the SYG-12.

F2 Rifle

resident evil village F2 Rifle

In the right hands, the F2 is potentially the best (non-Magnum) weapon in the game. Even though the description says “specialized for taking out long-range targets.” the gun can ideally be used at any distance.

Its power is already phenomenal in its base form and upgrades should be a priority for it – especially reload speed. Picking off enemies without letting them get a sniff of you is invaluable and will save you lots of health.

GM 79 Grenade Launcher

resident evil village gm 79

Another staple of the Resident Evil franchise is the age-old Grenade Launcher. As usual, ammo is a bit more scarce compared to the other firearms on this list, meaning it’s more of a specialist weapon.

Save it more for bosses and sub-bosses, perhaps even keeping it away in storage most of the time to free up room for other ammo, health, and important items. Make sure to upgrade

Resident Evil Village post-game weapons

Once you’ve completed Resident Evil Village, there are a number of other weapons you can go about unlocking to use in the main game itself on another playthrough.

  • WCX short-barreled assault rifle
  • Karambit Knife
  • USM-AI semi automatic pistol
  • Dragoon assault rifle
  • Hand Cannon PZ
  • Rocket Pistol
  • LZ Answerer

This Clever trick makes Valkyrie fly longer in Apex Legends

There is a clever Apex Legends tactic that you can use to make the new Legend Valkyrie fly for longer during battle.

Published

How to fly longer as Valkyrie

The new Legend Valkyrie is one of the many additions in the Apex Legends Season 9, Legacy update, and there’s a clever trick that you can use to make her soar through the sky for longer than usual.

Apex Legends Legacy brought a ton of new additions for fans to enjoy, including the 3v3 Arenas modenew weapons, a fresh Battle Pass, and of course, a new Legend named Valkyrie

This character brings a certain verticality to the battle royale with her ability to soar through the air for a short period of time. Now, a few players have found a way to use her jetpacks to stay in the air for a longer duration.

Valkyrie's VTOL jets

How to make Valkyrie fly for longer in Apex Legends

This trick was discovered by Reddit user Swogglenoz, who was experimenting with Valkyrie’s jetpacks. Through this, they were able to come up with a way to make her fly much further and longer than normal.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Use Valkyrie’s jetpacks to take off into the sky.
  2. Hold her tactical down while you’re in the air to fly for longer.
  3. Once you’re ready to land, use the melee attack to bring her down.

Using the melee attack will cancel out her deploying the rocket burst tactical, allowing you to land safely. However, you’ll be flying fairly slow, which could leave you vulnerable to enemy attacks.

While some players initially assumed that this might be an exploit, the Apex Legends devs made it clear that this is an intentional tactic. While Valkyrie’s slow speed might come off as useless, this trick is ideal for sneaking up on players.

Valkyrie’s VTOL Jets only allow her to hover across the map within a set amount of fuel, so you’ll need to use this tactic carefully. We recommend saving it for late-game scenarios where it’s easier to be stealthy.

If you want some useful tips and tricks for playing as Valkyrie that will make you into a winged menace on your way to victory, then you can check out or guide for them.
