How to claim free Black Ops Cold War & Warzone bundles
Black Ops Cold War players are being gifted two free bundles from Activision and Treyarch ahead of Season 1 on December 16.
Season 1 of Black Ops Cold War x Warzone has been delayed to December 16. It was also revealed that to help everyone unlock everything before season 1 launches, from December 12, there will be double XP and double weapon XP until the launch of the new season.
Players have also been given two content packs for free. These packs are for Black Ops Cold War but after integration with Warzone in season 1, Operators and weapon blueprints can be brought to Verdansk. So even if Warzone is more your cup of tea than multiplayer, it’s still worth claiming these bundles.
Here’s how to get the free content.
Free Preseason Bundles
Cold War players will receive the Field Research and Certified bundles for free. These contain a variety of cosmetics to use in Black Ops Cold War now, and Warzone in the future. Check out what the bundles contain below.

- Epic Milano “Excavator” blueprint
- Epic reticle
- Epic Calling Card
- Rare “Collectible Tin” Weapon Charm
- Certified Bundle
- Epic Garcia “Barrio” Operator skin
- Rare FFAR “Ground Control” blueprint
- Epic reticle
- Epic “Can of Concealment” Weapon Charm
These free bundles allow you to use Park and Garcia without completing their challenges.
Before the bundles were released, you must exfil three times in Zombies to unlock Park. Exfiling can be tricky, so if you’re either having trouble or just aren’t a Zombies player, you’ll be able to play as Park after claiming the bundles.
To unlock Garcia, you must detonate (or help your team detonate) five Dirty Bombs in Fireteam. With the ‘Barrio’ skin for Garcia being included in the bundle, you will have instant access to the Operator.
These bundles will only unlock the specific skins, so if you want to unlock their classic looks, you still need to complete the challenges.
How to claim free bundles
Claiming the free bundles is straightforward – simply “log in between 10AM PT Dec. 8 and 11PM PT Dec. 15 to claim both bundles.”
You don’t even have to play a match; just launch Black Ops Cold War and select ‘multiplayer.’ Before accessing the lobby, you will be met with a prompt asking you to claim the Free Preseason Rewards. Hit ‘confirm’ and enjoy your free cosmetics.
A glitch also revealed upcoming Operators and melee weapons to purchase in the store when Season 1 launches.
