Fortnite Season 5 has added Bounties, where you must hunt down and eliminate other players for XP and Gold Bars.
Players have eight days from the launch of Season 5 to complete five Bounty Contracts and earn 55k XP. Epic Games recommends you try to complete this Quest as a squad because it can be quite tricky.
The game doesn’t make it obvious how to complete a Bounty Contract, so here’s a guide to follow.
How to complete a Bounty Contract
The bounty system in Fortnite is quite similar to Warzone’s; you are assigned a target you must eliminate on the map.
To start the Bounty, you have to talk to Mancake who is inside this building to the South of the center of the map.

Getting to him will be tricky, as most players will be rushing to complete the Bounty Hunter Challenges. To make it even harder, damaging Mancake will turn him hostile.
Once you speak to him, you get the choice to either accept a bounty, complete a task, buy a weapon, or hire him to attack with you.
Once you accept the bounty, you must eliminate a specific enemy player within six minutes. Like Warzone, the map will be marked with a circle that the enemy is inside. Fortnite will tell you the player’s skin, which makes this challenge much easier when you’re fighting squads.
After eliminating your bounty target, you will be rewarded with XP and 70 Gold Bars.
You can also go back to Mancake who will offer you another bounty. If you’re skilled enough, it’s possible to complete all five bounties in one or two matches.
So to recap:
- Land at the large building in the centre of the map
- Speak to Mancake and accept a bounty
- Find an eliminate the bounty target within six minutes
With everyone looking to complete these challenges, expect this area to be extremely populated with bounty hunters and their targets.

Human Bill hangs out at Steamy Stacks, in the northeast part of the map. Bunker Jonesy can be found just south of Misty Meadows which is at the south end of the Island. As the name implies, Swamp Stalker will be at Slurpy Swamp.
You can visit whichever one of these characters you want in order to complete this Legendary Quest. To make things a bit easier, we’ve marked each of their spawn locations on the map below:
If you want to complete this challenge quickly, then we recommend going to Swamp Stalker, since this NPC is much easier a target than the other two. Interacting with her should wipe her memories clean.
Once that’s done, you’ll earn a total of 30,000 XP for your efforts. Just be careful of other players who will also be in these areas to complete the challenge. Keep some good gear on you, and be ready for a fight.

With the arrival of the 17.21 update, we’re now in Week 8, and players are tasked with planting three wiretraps at key locations. Here’s how to plant the wiretraps, and all of the key locations that you can plant them.
Fortnite Week 8 Wiretap locations
There are clusters of wiretaps in five key locations on the Fortnite Season 7 map. Inside each of these POIs are three wiretaps, so with a bit of luck, you should only have to visit one of the locations.
The wiretaps will be marked by a transparent blue box. Simply approach it and press the interact button and the wiretap will be placed. Do this twice more, and you’ll get 30,000 XP.
You can find wiretaps in these locations:
- Dinky Dish
- Dockside Dish
- Defiant Dish
- Eastern house in Lazy Lake
- Tunnel east of Catty Corner

Fortnite Season 7 live event countdown timer: start date & theme
A countdown timer has appeared in the world of Fortnite, and it looks to be counting down the moments until the Season 7 live event.
Excitement is at an all-time high in the world of Fortnite regarding Season 7, as a countdown timer has appeared in the popular game and is counting down the moments until the next live event kicks off.
There are many things that have made Fortnite one of the most popular games in the world over the past couple of years, with one of the most important being the exciting live events that Epic Games has pulled off over the course of the game’s many seasons.
These live events have been everything from concerts to giant battles where millions of players have been able to experience the adrenaline-fueled action all at the same time.
While the end of Season 6 and the start of Season 7 did not see a live event occur, this does not look to be the case for the end of Season 7 and the start of Season 8, as a Fortnite live event countdown timer has officially appeared in the popular game.
Fortnite live event countdown timer
Players soon noticed this Fortnite live event countdown timer in the game’s sky when they were playing and in the lobby in between matches.
Based on the amount of time this timer began with when it first appeared, it looks as though the highly anticipated live event will occur on August 6, 2021, at 3 PM PST/ 5 PM CST/ 6 PM EST.
It is unknown exactly what will happen when this Fortnite live event countdown timer hits zero on August 6.
However, with this season’s theme being all about an alien invasion, the alien mothership that has been hanging around might likely be ready to make some noise and shake up the Fortnite world in a major way.
An Ariana Grande concert event has also been leaked to be taking place sometime this season, so there is a possibility that this time is counting down until this leaked event. Still, players will have to wait until it hits zero before we officially know or an announcement is made by Epic Games.
