FIFA 22 End of an Era Bale

An End of an Era Gareth Bale has dropped in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team to mark the end of the Welshman’s decorated Real Madrid career. Here’s how to complete the SBC and unlock this unbelievable new card.

After nine years, five Champions League winners medals, and plenty of controversies, Gareth Bale’s time with Real Madrid has come to an end. The Welsh star is moving on to Los Angeles FC, but he leaves the Galacticos having won every major trophy on offer to him.

To celebrate his Madrid career, EA have added an End of an Era Bale to FIFA 22 Ultimate Team during the Shapeshifters promo, unlockable through an SBC.

It’s one of the most eye-watering cards we’ve had in FIFA 22 to date, so here’s how to complete End of an Era Gareth Bale as well as cheap solutions for each section.

FIFA 22 End of an Era Bale stats

Even with so many special promo cards on the market, End of an Era Bale stands out as one of the best players in FIFA 22. Both his Pace and Finishing are virtually maxed out, so he’ll strike fear into defenders and goalkeepers alike.

97 Dribbling means he can glide past full-backs with ease, but his impressive passing gives him the ability to play in an attacking midfield role if you want him more involved in the action. Throw in 99 Jumping and Heading Accuracy, and it’s hard to find a single drawback.

FIFA 22 End of an Era Bale requirements & solutions

There are only four squads to submit for End of an Era Bale, but very high requirements mean it will set you back around 750,000 coins to complete the overall SBC, based on data from FUTBIN.

It’s definitely on the pricey side, but that’s probably to be expected for a 98-rated player from one of the game’s most popular leagues.

If you’re thinking of adding Bale to your squad, we’ve laid out all of the SBC requirements and cheapest solutions below:

Real Madrid requirements

  • # of Real Madrid players: Min 1
  • # of TOTW or TOTS players: Min 1
  • Squad Rating: Min 84
  • Team Chemistry: Min 70
  • Reward: Premium Mixed Players Pack

Solution

LaLiga requirements

  • # of LaLiga players: Min 1
  • Squad Rating: Min 87
  • Team Chemistry: Min 55
  • Reward: Rare Mixed Players Pack

Solution

Top Form requirements

  • # of TOTW or TOTS players: Min 1
  • Squad Rating: Min 88
  • Team Chemistry: Min 40
  • Reward: Premium Mixed Players Pack

Solution

89-Rated Squad requirements

  • Squad Rating: Min 89
  • Team Chemistry: Min 35
  • Reward: Jumbo Premium Gold Players Pack

Solution

Players have until Wednesday, August 3 to complete all four SBCs for End of an Era Bale, so there’s plenty of time to save up those Division Rivals and FUT Champions rewards. There are also plenty of packs up for grabs in Summer Stars to help ease the pain.

This is an SBC that certainly won’t be for everyone, as the price is extremely high and Bale’s Welsh nation link makes him tough to fit into teams that don’t have plenty of LaLiga players already.

However, if you can fit him into your squad, there’s no doubt End of an Era Bale has the stats to be one of the best players in all of FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.

FIFA 23 devs drop major hints about Pro Clubs’ crossplay future

FIFA 23 Pro Clubs won’t have crossplay at launch, but developers EA Sports have confirmed it’s in the plans for the future.

Published

on

FIFA 23 fans were disappointed when EA Sports announced that crossplay wouldn’t be coming to the game at launch. Thankfully, some new details from the developers has teased that it could arrive further into the game’s lifespan.

For years, FIFA fans have been begging EA Sports to introduce cross-platform play to the series. With games like Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Apex Legends all making use of the system, FIFA seemed like an obvious candidate for crossplay.

For the first time, FIFA 23 is set to include cross-platform play, but left players disappointed with the news that it would only be available in a limited number of modes.

For many, the biggest blow was the fact that Pro Clubs would not utilize the system at all, meaning players couldn’t team up if they were on different consoles. While Pro Clubs won’t be crossplay at launch, EA Sports have suggested that might not be the case for the entirety of the game’s lifespan.

EA teases Pro Clubs crossplay in the future

In their August 8 Pitch Notes for FIFA 23, Game Design Director for Pro Clubs and VOLTA Football Richard Walz spoke candidly about the lack of crossplay in these modes, and provided an update on the future of the modes.

“I share your desire to see crossplay in Pro Clubs,” he stated, “And understand the frustrations for not seeing it included in the launch of FIFA 23. While we’re excited with the first steps to bring new crossplay features to FIFA 23, we also recognize what crossplay functionality could mean to the Pro Clubs modes, with the potential for improving matchmaking, and allowing friends from different platforms of the same generation to play together.”

“With the scale of such an important feature, our goal is to bring you the best possible experiences. As we look at our crossplay future, we’re focused on matchmaking in Pro Clubs, VOLTA, and FUT Co-op, as well as cross-platform lobby invites and ultimately cross-platform Pro Clubs.”

When FIFA 23 launches, only 1v1 modes will have crossplay enabled. That means Ultimate Team Friendlies, Divisional matches, and Weekend League, along with Online Seasons.

FIFA 23 is set to include some majors changes, with both player and manager Career Mode receiving updates, along with new FUT Icons.

FIFA 23 Pro Clubs: Cross-play, Leveling changes, skill games, more

FIFA 23’s Pro Clubs mode introduces several new features, like skill games, season progression changes, and new Perks.

Published

on

Here’s everything you need to know about FIFA 23’s Pro Clubs mode including the latest news on cross-play inclusion, changes to leveling and progression, as well as the new skill games feature.

EA Sports are set to deliver new features across each of FIFA 23’s game modes including Career Mode, Ultimate Team, and Pro Clubs. As the final iteration of the iconic franchise to boast the FIFA branding, expectations are high for FIFA 23.

While Ultimate Team tends to receive the bulk of the attention from players, Pro Clubs is a well-liked mode with a passionate community that enjoys teaming up with friends online.

FIFA 23 is set to deliver some changes and improvements when it comes to Pro Clubs, and here’s a breakdown of what you should expect.

FIFA 23 Pro Clubs post-launch cross-play

Fans of Pro Clubs were shocked and appalled when they discovered that FIFA 23 would exclude the highly requested cross-play feature from impacting the mode’s gameplay. It’s the first time that a FIFA game will have cross-play and Pro Clubs players were furious with the exclusion.

The backlash from the decision to exclude Pro Clubs from cross-play functionality has led to a statement from EA.

The statement confirmed that EA “recognize what cross-play functionality could mean to the Pro Clubs mode with the potential for improving matchmaking and allowing friends from different platforms of the same generation to play together. “

It’s a positive sign to see the devs address player concerns. They reaffirmed that while FIFA 23 will not have cross-play for Pro Clubs at launch, it is something they’re working on: “As we look at our cross-play future, we’re focused on matchmaking in Pro Clubs, VOLTA, and FUT Co-op, as well as cross-platform lobby invites and ultimately cross-platform Pro Clubs.”

However, there’s no confirmation if the future they refer to is one that will affect FIFA 23 post-launch or rather the next footballing title they produce.

Pro Clubs leveling changes & new Perks in FIFA 23

EA have amended the method to level up your player in FIFA 23 Pro Clubs. After continuous player complaints of slow progression over the years, EA have finally decided to make the grind a more simple and rewarding task.

You’ll receive more XP after a match to ensure “fair distribution of XP for supporting players who contribute to success without putting the ball in the back of the net themselves.”

Here are the changes to leveling you will experience in FIFA 23 Pro Clubs:

  1. The amount of XP required to move from level to level has decreased considerably.
  2. The amount of XP required to reach the maximum level has been decreased.
  3. The maximum level has been increased from 25 levels to 100.
  4. Players can earn a maximum of 185 Skill Points.
  5. All Perks will be unlocked through the course of the first 25 levels. Beyond level 25, players will continue to unlock more perk slots, and earn more Skill Points.

These changes have been implemented to reduce the effort needed to max out your level.

In addition to these leveling changes, EA are also introducing four new Perks to Pro Clubs. Perks can be utilized to alter your performance on the pitch so unlocking valuable ones can lead to more success.

Here are the four new Perks and what they do:

Attacking Perks

  • Poacher – Increases your all-around finishing (including boosts to Volleys, Finishing, and Heading Accuracy) when inside the box.

Chance Creation Perks

  • Light Passes – Increases your teammates’ ability to trap and control your passes.

Defensive Perks

  • Interceptor – Improves your ability to intercept & disrupt your opposition’s passes & shots when defending and in close proximity to the ball.
  • Chase Down – Increases your pace when defending immediately following a loss of possession. The perk will deactivate after 40 in-game seconds if you have not regained possession.

Pro Clubs & Volta shared seasonal progression

For the first time, Pro Clubs will adopt a season progression system in FIFA 23. This new seasonal system will share its progress with the Volta experience. Playing either mode will level up your player and you’ll earn shared seasonal progress as a result.

Furthermore, players will be able to earn rewards in Volta, such as player cosmetics, and bring them back to equip in Pro Clubs matches. This is great news for FIFA 23 players as you’ll have more chances to progress through the six-week season.

FIFA 23 Pro Clubs skill games

The new skill games feature will give players something to do while waiting for their Pro Clubs teammates to come online. Completing these skill games will contribute to your player’s growth.

You can also compete with your teammates for bragging rights within your club as you attempt to land the highest score possible in each of the mini-games.

Ultimately, you’ll experience less wasted time than ever in FIFA 23 Pro Clubs as there will always be a method to earn XP even when your teammates are offline.

FIFA 23 Premier League ratings: Every team’s best players predictions

The Premier League is set to host some of the best players in FIFA 23, so we’ve predicted who will have the highest rating for each club.

Published

The Premier League will be home to some of FIFA 23’s brightest stars, with players from the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool set to dominate Ultimate Team. Here are our predictions for the top Premier League ratings in FIFA 23, as well as every team’s best players.

Each and every year, EA updates its roster of players with new ratings based on how they performed in the previous season, and FIFA 23 is no exception. The 2021/22 campaign saw some exceptional performances, which will no doubt be reflected in the FIFA 23 ratings.

One of the biggest leagues to feature in FIFA 23 is the Premier League. Whether you’re building your dream Ultimate Team or embarking on a Career Mode, the English top-flight is likely to play a part.

But who will be the best players in the Premier League? We’ve put together our predictions for the top 10 highest-rated Premier League players in FIFA 23, and highlighted the best players from each club.

FIFA 23 Premier League top 10 player rating predictions

Erling HaalandManchester City+290

Trent Alexander-ArnoldLiverpool+288

After they two fought tooth and nail for all three domestic trophies last season, we’re expecting Manchester City and Liverpool to dominate the ratings in FIFA 23.

After winning Premier League Player of the Season, Kevin De Bruyne will likely keep his lofty 91 rating, sharing the top spot with Cristiano Ronaldo, who also enjoyed a great individual season in a struggling United team.

We’ve listed Erling Haaland as one of the highest climbers, who should receive a large bump after his high-profile move to City. Trent Alexander-Arnold is also expected to be rewarded after his best season to date, managing 12 assists from right back.

Heung Min-Son also registered his most prolific year in the Premier League so far, finishing as the joint-top goalscorer. This should be enough to see him move up a rating and join the coveted 90 club.
