A new set of Avian Ambush challenges have arrived in Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 1 involving chickens. Here’s how to complete Fortnite’s Avian Ambush challenges.

Fortnite players will have an opportunity to complete the Avian Ambush challenges before they say goodbye to Chapter 3: Season 1. As one of the last quests for Season 1, this is a great opportunity to gain additional XP.

The Avian Ambush challenges are chicken-themed so you’ll definitely want to get acquainted with these feathery animals as they become more common to find and catch.

Here is a list of every Avian Ambush Week challenge that players can work towards completing in Fortnite Chapter 3:

  • Throw chickens (5)
  • Slide for 30 meters continuously while holding a chicken
  • Open a Vault while holding a chicken
  • Hunt a Loot Chicken or Crow (2)
  • Fly with a chicken for 20 meters in a single flight
  • Catch a chicken in different matches (3)
  • Bounce on a tire, umbrella, or Web Bouncer 3 consecutive times while holding a chicken

Each challenge on the above list will reward players with 8K XP which means there is a total of 56K XP up for grabs.

If you have trouble finding chickens, your Avian Ambush challenges will fail to progress. The majority of these challenges require chickens and you can use our guide on where to find chickens in Fortnite to make things easier.

One of the challenges requires players to fly with a chicken which we also cover in the above guide. Once you’ve caught a chicken, most of the challenges focus on performing tasks like flying, sliding, and opening vaults with a chicken in hand.

The window of opportunity to complete the Avian Ambush quests in Fortnite is quite small. Players will have until March 15 at 7 AM PST / 9 AM EST / 2 PM GMT to complete the challenges and earn valuable XP.

The quests shouldn’t take too long to complete but if you’re short on time there’s no need to worry as one more week of quests should be in the works before the end of Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 1 on March 19.
