Fortnite Week 5 Quests

Fortnite Season 7 has brand-new weekly challenges for you to complete so that you can earn a ton of bonus XP from the Week 5 quests. Here are all the challenges, as well as full guides on how to complete them.

Fortnite Season 7’s Battle Star system lets you choose which items from the Battle Pass you want to purchase. If you want to unlock cool skins like Rick Sanchez, you’ll want to earn as much XP as possible.

There are some brand-new Epic and Legendary Quests to earn a ton of XP each week. Last week’s challenges tasked you with finding infecting animals and destroying hiding places. Week 5 has different objectives to complete.

Here’s every challenge in Season 7, Week 5, with full guides on how to complete them.

Here’s the full list of Epic Quests for Week 5 of Fortnite Season 7:

  • Destroy Computer Equipment at Satellite Stations or Corny Complex (3) – 30,000 XP
  • Damage IO Guards (250) – 30,000 XP

  • Damage a Saucer with a Pilot Inside (800) – 30,000 XP
  • Open an IO Chest at a Satellite Station or Corny Complex (1) – 30,000 XP

To kickstart Fortnite Season 7’s fifth week, you can complete these Epic Quests. These are all quite simple and can be completed passively as you play Season 7. Many of these focus on causing damage and destruction.

Fortnite Week 5 Quests

The task to destroy Computer Equipment is similar to one of the Week 2 Quests which required you to destroy equipment at Satellite Stations. You can check out how to complete this week’s task in our guide.

IO guards returned to Fortnite, and they play a big role in this week’s challenges. You’ll need to deal damage to them and then use their weapons to dish out pain. To complete this quest, you can visit their spawn locations.

Trespassers will be piloting UFOs in invaded locations on the Island. Once you damage a Saucer with the Pilot still inside, you’ll be able to eliminate them and complete two quests at once. Keep an eye out for Supply Drops to loot while you’re at it.

Fortnite Season 7 Week 5 Legendary Quests

Fortnite Week 5 Quests

Slone will give you orders once you visit a Payphone location. Zyg and Choppy can be found in the lower levels of an office building at the Hydro 16 Dam. Dance in front of them to complete this task, but be careful. Choppy isn’t as friendly as it seems.

Alien Nanites arrived in the battle royale as part of the 17.20 update. You can learn more about finding and deploying them in our guide. We also have a separate article for finding Alien Parasites to infect you. Sunny’s location on the map is in our NPCs guide.

There are multiple spots where you can place Welcome Gifts in Holly Hatchery, but you only need two to complete this challenge. That covers all the Legendary Quests! You’ll get a whopping 165,000 XP for completing all of the stages.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 is nearing its halfway point, and the Fortnite 21.20 update is here to add even more content to the battle royale title. Here’s everything you need to know about the 21.20 patch, which includes the Charge SMG, Indiana Jones skin, and more.

Fortnite shows no sign of slowing down with Chapter 3 Season 3 adding even more to the blockbuster battle royale such as the new Ripsaw Launcher and Grapple Glove. The 21.10 update brought Darth Vader to the island and added the Super Styles, and the July 6 21.20 update brings even more to the battle royale.

This week’s patch includes the new Charge SMG weapon, map changes, the return of the Port-A-Fort, and the new Indiana Jones skin. You can see the full Fortnite 21.20 update patch notes below.

Rave Cave POI in Fortnite Season 3

Charge SMG arrives in Fortnite

Fortnite players have a brand-new weapon to wield after the Fortnite 21.20 update, as the Charge SMG is finally introduced to the loot pool.

First leaked all the way back in Chapter 2, Season 7, the Charge SMG can be picked up from ground loot, Chests, Supply Drops, Reality Saplings, and sharks.

Activate the weapon’s charge by holding down the trigger. The longer you hold it, the more bullets you’ll release when you fire it. With the arrival of the Charge SMG, Epic have placed the Combat SMG into the Vault, so don’t expect to see it on the island any time soon.

Indiana Jones arrives in Fortnite 21.20 update

Each Fortnite season comes with a bonus skin that Battle Pass owners can unlock a few weeks in, and Season 3’s 21.20 update finally brings Indiana Jones.

The Indiana Jones Battle Pass Quests will go live at 9AM ET on July 6, with players who complete these challenges able to unlock the skin and other cosmetic items from his set.

Fortnite 21.20 map changes

Tumbledown Temple is no more! The landmark has been a popular drop spot for players throughout Season 3 but has been renamed “Shuffled Shrines” following the 21.20 update.

This POI can be found west of The Joneses, and Epic Games say players are in for an “ancient architecture adventure.”

Port-A-Fort returns!

Epic always say that any item removed from the game can always return, and this has been proved true once again with the Port-A-Fort!

Found in Chests or picked up from ground loot, the Port-A-Fort gives players an instant structure — no building necessary! Use it to give yourself some cover, or as a distraction while you sneak up on opponents.

Fortnite No Sweat Summer challenges

Epic Games added the Island Hopper Creative Quests as part of the No Sweat Summer event and suggested that more challenges are still to come.

At the end of the Island Hopper blog post, Epic teased: “Want more summer vibes? No sweat, more summer is coming. Stay tuned for more.”

The Island Hopper Quests are only live until July 6, so it sounds like there will be even more challenges to complete after they conclude.

Fortnite 21.20 update bug fixes

Thanks to Epic Games’ Trello board of Fortnite Community Issues, we can see the major bug fixes that are set to arrive in the 21.20 update.

  • Battle Royale: Sapling Icon can be misplaced on the Map/Minimap
    • Players may see their Sapling Icon out in the ocean or otherwise off of the actual map and not anywhere near where they had planted it.
  • Creative: Tracker Device
    • We’re aware of an issue that is causing the tracker device to not update correctly for teams when multiple teams are able to use it.

What is Power Ranking (PR) in Fortnite?

Before becoming a Fortnite pro, there are certain terms that you must know about. This includes PR, which is short for Power Ranking.

Published

on

PR in Fortnite explained

Fortnite is one of the biggest esports in the world and you might have noticed that pros heavily use the term PR. From its relevance to the calculation method, here’s everything to know about Power Rankings in Epic Games’ battle royale game.

Becoming a gamer, and especially a pro gamer certainly changes a lot. You’re expected to learn new lingos that can be as basic as being AFK (away from keyboard) and as complex as QQ (a crying emoji that is used to call other players unskilled).

Fortnite is no exception, as the battle royale title has its fair share of terms that players must know to fit in. This includes PR (Power Ranking), and here’s why it is so common among pros.

Table of Contents

What is Power Ranking?

Long story short, Power Ranking is a ranking given to pro players based on their performance in official Fortnite tournaments organized by Epic Games. For instance, these are some of the official competitive tournaments in Chapter 3 Season 3:

  • Cash Cups
  • Lightning Cups
  • Zero Build Cups
  • FNCS Qualifiers and Finals

Whenever a player takes part in such tournaments, they receive points which eventually contribute to their overall Power Ranking. Hence, it is one of the most rational ways to recognize the best players in the world.

Fortnite Power Rankings

Having said that, it’s important to know that Epic Games doesn’t release their own Power Rankings. Prominent stats website Fortnite Tracker has come up with a unique system that judges players and rolls these rankings out.

How to calculate Power Rankings in Fortnite?

For every top 10,000 placement, players get points ranging from 5 to 1000. Fortnite Tracker states that the system is top-heavy, which means placing in the top 100 grants significantly more points. A player outside the top 100 won’t receive over 200 points while the top teams can expect points between 200-1000.

Moreover, tournaments have multipliers based on their quality. Factors like prize pool and difficulty play a major role in deciding it.

While Cash Cups can have a 1x multiplier, the World Cup has a 10x multiplier. Accordingly, winning the World Cup is almost equivalent to winning 100 Cash Cups.

Significance of Power Ranking

Considering that there are different multipliers and parameters to earn Power Ranking points, it is natural for players to question the legitimacy of this system. This is where the decay system comes into play.

Four months after a tournament is concluded, Fortnite Tracker reduces the points earned through it by 10%. This process continues for 18 months, following which the points from the tournament become entirely obsolete.

This ensures that the Power Rankings only display pros who’ve been the most consistent in recent tournaments.

How to check your Power Ranking in Fortnite

To check your Power Ranking, follow these steps:

  • Visit Fortnite Tracker
  • Enter your Epic Games name and search for your profile.
  • Open the Events section which should display your Power Ranking and performance in all events.

The website also has a Leaderboards section that showcases the highest-ranked players in the world. The list is purely based on numbers and is constantly evolving as new tournaments take place.

Fortnite Power Ranking

Websites like Fortnite Esports Wiki also maintain their Power Rankings. It gives every tournament a tier based on the prize pool, difficulty, format, and number of players. Players then get points for placing high enough in these tournaments.

For now, the Chapter 3 Season 3 FNCS is right around the corner and players can expect some major changes in the Power Rankings. While veterans like Bugha, TaySon, and Clix will try to add more feathers to their caps, aspiring pros will look forward to dethroning the existing champions.
