Halo Infinite’s Fracture: Tenrai event has returned, bringing even more samurai-themed cosmetics for your Spartan. These can be unlocked through a set of challenges, so here’s how to complete the Tenrai event challenges and earn the Yoroi Armor Core.
Halo Infinite’s multiplayer was one of the best-received shooters in 2021, with its classic map design, unique weapons, and ranked mode support. However, players were unimpressed with its first event, Fracture: Tenrai, due to the most sought-after rewards being locked behind a paywall.
Fracture: Tenrai has returned in 2022 with an overhauled free event pass bringing more samurai-themed cosmetics and far fewer XP bonuses and Challenge Swaps.
You’ll need to complete a series of challenges to earn these cosmetics as well as the Ultimate reward, so here’s everything you’ll need to do before Week 2 ends on Monday, January 10, 2022.
Halo Infinite Fracture: Tenrai challenges
Halo Infinite’s Fracture: Tenrai challenges are marked by an orange banner on your Challenges list, and it’s only these that will progress the event pass.
Here are all of the Halo Infinite Fracture: Tenrai Week 2 Challenges:
- Complete Fiesta Matches (2)
- Earn Assists in Fiesta Matches (10)
- Earn Assists in Fiesta PvP Matches (20)
- Kill Enemy Spartans in Fiesta Matches (10)
- Earn Double Kills in Fiesta (1)
- Stop Enemy Killing Sprees in Fiesta PvP (5)
- Win Fiesta Matches (1)
- Stop an Enemy Killing Spree in Fiesta PvP (1)
- Earn a Double Kill in Fiesta PvP (1)
- Kill Enemy Spartans with a Headshot in Fiesta PvP (10)
You’ll need to solely focus on Fiesta if you’re looking to complete the Fracture: Tenrai challenges, as this is the event’s featured mode.
For the most part, how quickly you fly through the challenges is dependant on luck and your own skill. Most will happen naturally but if you pay attention to your challenge list then you’ll be able to focus on a specific goal fly through them quicker.

The only challenge that might prove time-consuming is ending Enemy Killing Sprees, as this is entirely luck-based. But play enough Fiesta and you’ll be sure to finish it before Week 2 ends on Monday, January 10.
Halo Infinite Fracture: Tenrai challenges reward
If players complete all of the Weekly Challenges, which includes both the Tenrai and the regular, you’ll unlock the Shibuichi Visor.
This red-tinted visor will only be available during this week, so make sure you complete all of the challenges before they expire.

Battlefield 2042 dev apologizes & removes “slap in the face” Portal mode
Battlefield 2042 added a ‘bot farm’ mode to Portal’s featured experiences, and a dev apologized before removing it.
Battlefield 2042 devs added a new zombies mode to Portal, but it quickly became clear that it could be used as an XP farm. Players called it a “slap in the face” and a Battlefield Portal dev has since apologized and the mode has been removed.
Battlefield Portal gives players an incredible amount of tools to create their own modes using assets from previous Battlefield games and 2042. After assuring players that it couldn’t be used to farm XP, the devs almost completely removed Portal XP after the browser was full of XP farms.
The devs made changes to Portal XP in January 20’s Update 3.2, increasing the XP cap for unofficial servers. Then, they released the Zombie Survival mode that acted exactly like an XP farm and quickly removed it following backlash.
Battlefield 2042 players have been desperate for Portal XP to be reenabled after it was removed from custom modes to prevent XP farms. Developers Ripple Effect increased the Portal XP cap in the January 20 update, but it’s still not as much as players would like.
Then, later on January 20, the devs added the Zombie Survival mode which players called an “official bot farm.” In this mode, players would battle waves of AI enemies who would be extremely easy to kill, earning a ton of XP and Mastery rewards in the process.
Twitter user 235Nuke said the Zombie Survival mode is “a slap in the face to gaming communities and others whom [sic] want to run experiences in portal. This zombie mode is an official bot farm which is why XP was restricted in portal.”
This tweet prompted a response from Ripple Effect’s Senior Design Director Justin Wiebe, who apologized.
“I’m not going to lie, this one shouldn’t have gotten through our review process,” said Wiebe. “I think our desire to create a fun zombies mode clouded our ability to see such a simple thing like the impact it would have on progression. I’m very sorry for the hardship this has caused.”
More and more players had the same complaint as 235Nuke and the developers removed the mode on January 21, replacing it with Gun Master 2042.
DICE is committed to getting Battlefield 2042 back on track, revealing that the next major patch will be Update 3.3 in February.

How to fix Battlefield 2042 Error Code 3:9001
Battlefield 2042 players have been unable to launch the game after the Error Code 3:9001 popped up, but we have a simple fix.
Battlefield 2042 devs have released the first update of 2022, but Update 3.2 has caused the frustrating Error Code 3:9001 which prevents Steam players from launching the game. But, we’ve got a simple fix for the issue.
Unfortunately, this has caused the ‘Error Code 3:9001’ to pop up, preventing Steam users from launching the game.
Luckily, there’s a simple fix for the issue, so you can get back to playing Battlefield 2042 in no time.
How to fix Error Code 3:9001 in Battlefield 2042
While Battlefield 2042’s Error Code 3:9001 is frustrating, there’s an easy way to get around it by changing some settings within Steam.
Here’s how to get rid of Battlefield 2042’s 3:9001 Error Code:
- Open your Steam Library
- Right-click on Battlefield 2042
- Select Properties
- Select Updates
- Hit the drop down arrow underneath ‘Automatic Updates‘
- Select ‘Only update this game when I launch it‘
- Launch Battlefield 2042 through Steam
What appears to have gone wrong here was Steam didn’t automatically download the update for players, so the error code has popped up when players tried to launch an out-of-date version of Battlefield 2042.
However, setting the game to only ‘only update when I launch it’ will force the game to recognize and begin installing the update. Then, hopefully, you’ll be able to resume playing Battlefield 2042 as soon as the update’s over.
