Warzone Season 3 players can pay homage to the 1988 action film Die Hard by completing side missions in Verdansk’s faithful recreation of Nakatomi Plaza to open the Vault.

Nakatomi Plaza is one of the most iconic buildings in cinema as it birthed Bruce Willis’ everyman hero John McClane, introduced the world to the late Alan Rickman as Hans Gruber, and played host to one of the definitive action films of all time.

But now Warzone players get to re-enact some of its best action as Nakatomi Plaza has landed in Verdansk ’84. It has cool side missions and secrets, and here’s a full guide on how to complete everything and unlock the Vault.

Also, find out how to unlock both John McClane and Rambo in Warzone Season 3.

One of Verdansk’s newest POIs has three different side missions for you to engage with, and you only need to do one of them to obtain a keycard to open the vault.

Nevertheless, we will run you through all three of them and instruct you on how to complete Warzone’s new challenges.

Nakatomi Plaza side mission #1 – Arms Deal

To trigger Arms Deal, players will need to seek out Nakatomi Plaza’s car park which can be accessed outside via an underground ramp, or via a stairwell from the main lobby. You will need to head to ‘P2’ and look out for an open truck with a light on inside.

Climb inside, approach the table, and begin the activity. Simply eliminate all the enemies in the two waves that will converge on you and you will earn a keycard to open the Vault.

Be warned, the second wave will contain a Boss-like enemy that can withstand incredible amounts of punishment.

Nakatomi Plaza side mission #2 – Hostile Fire

Hans Gruber and his team rigged the roof of Nakatomi Plaza with C4 and detonated it in Die Had, however, you will be able to prevent it in Warzone Season 3.

The best time to do this is at the beginning of the game. You’ll need to land on Nakatomi Plaza’s roof and locate and disarm all four C4 parcels. Naturally, you will need to fend off any other would-be Vault hunters landing with you, but you’ll also need to beware of the Gunship that will be summoned and prowl the roof waiting to take you out!

Successfully disarm the C4, and you’ll earn a keycard for Nakatomi Plaza’s vault.

Nakatomi Plaza side mission #3 – Unfinished Business

At the beginning of a game of Warzone, there will be three contracts littered around Nakatomi Plaza, and it’s basically a race to find one to begin ‘Unfinished Business’.

They are standard Scavenger contracts that require you to open three boxes in quick succession in close proximity of each other.

It’s quite easy to complete, it’s just getting one that’s the struggle. If you do manage to acquire one and complete it, then you’ll earn the elusive keycard.

On the 31st floor of the Nakatomi Plaza POI, you will find the sacred Vault that Hans Gruber’s team spent an entire night trying to get into.

As players have had to do previously with bunkers and acquiring yellow keycards, you will need to get yourself a shiny keycard.

Here’s the full process to unlock the Vault:

  1. Land in and around Nakatomi plaza
  2. Complete one of the three side missions
  3. Get your keycard
  4. Head to the 31st floor of the Nakatomi Plaza building
  5. Use the keycard on the computer located outside the Vault
  6. Hey presto, you are an ‘exceptional thief’ and can stock up on thousands in cash and special items such as Killstreaks!

Best Warzone SMG loadouts for Season 5 Reloaded: Ranked list

An SMG is a vital tool in any Warzone loadout, so we’ve put together the top five and their best attachments in Season 5 Reloaded.

Warzone best SMG Season 3

Submachine Guns are powerful tools in any Call of Duty: Warzone player’s arsenal, so we’ve ranked every SMG and put together the top five and their best attachments for Season 5 Reloaded’s best close-range loadouts.

Since Warzone’s launch in March 2020, the consistent meta is to run a long-range weapon like an Assault Rifle alongside something for up-close. SMGs are an excellent choice for these engagements as they’re much more versatile than Shotguns, being effective at medium range with the right attachments.

Cold War’s SMGs burst on the scene in Season 1, but as the seasons have gone on, many Modern Warfare submachine guns have remained viable.

We’ve ranked every SMG from Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War and counted down the top five SMG loadouts you should be running in Warzone Season 5.

Best Warzone SMGs ranked list

Raven Software has spent a lot of time balancing SMGs in the last few updates, but now a clear meta has emerged.

Before we take a look at each of the game’s best SMG loadouts, we’re first going to rank every sub in Warzone Season 5 so you can see how each weapon compares to the rest.

Here’s our official ranked list for the SMGs in Warzone Season 5:

  1. MAC-10
  2. Bullfrog
  3. OTs 9
  4. MP7
  5. PPSH-41
  6. TEC-9
  7. Modern Warfare MP5
  8. Milano
  9. Cold War MP5
  10. Fennec
  11. CX-9
  12. AK-74u
  13. Nail Gun
  14. Bizon
  15. P90
  16. AUG (MW)
  17. ISO
  18. Uzi
  19. Striker
  20. LC10
  21. KSP 45

Best Warzone SMG loadouts for Season 5 meta

Here are the top five SMGs you should be running in Verdansk ’84 and Rebirth Island in Warzone Season 5.

SMGs are extremely balanced in Season 5, and the five on this list cover various playstyles and engagement ranges.

5. Best PPSH-41 Warzone loadout

PPSH SMG in Cod Warzone

The PPSH-41 appears to have come and gone from players’ favor, but other SMGs receiving nerfs over the course of Season 5 have placed it in a great spot.

It has great mobility and a large drum mag, which are excellent for finessing and taking on full squads at once. Its range is also commendable, so you could pair it with a Sniper Rifle if you’re looking for an aggressive sniper loadout.

  • Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
  • Barrel: 15.7″ Task Force
  • Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
  • Stock: Raider Stock
  • Ammunition: 55 Rnd Drum

4. Best MP7 Warzone loadout

MP7 SMG in Call of Duty Warzone

Before Black Ops Cold War’s integration in December 2020, the MP7 and Modern Warfare MP5 fought it out for the top spot. Now that some of Cold War’s SMGs have been nerfed, the MP7 has returned to the meta.

Our favorite features of the MP7 are the easy-to-control recoil pattern and 60 Round Mag. These elevate it above many of the close-range options, allowing you to strike a great middle-ground between SMGs and Assault Rifles, adding more versatility to your loadout.

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: FFS Recon
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 60 Round Mag

3. Best OTs 9 Warzone loadout

OTs 9 SMG in Warzone Season 5

The Season 4 Reloaded update added a new SMG to the world of Warzone in the form of the OTs 9. This new SMG quickly made a name for itself as one of the best close-quarters weapons players can use in their battles. YouTuber JGOD even said it was up there with Shotguns for close-range.

The agile mobility and powerful punch the OTs 9 provides made it a favorite amongst the best players in the world. It did receive a small nerf in the September 15 update which has slightly knocked its effectiveness, but it’s still extremely powerful up-close.

  • Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
  • Barrel: 8.1″ Task Force
  • Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
  • Ammunition: Spetsnaz 40 Rnd
  • Stock: KGB Skeletal Stock

2. Best Bullfrog Warzone loadout

Warzone Bullfrog SMG

The Bullfrog has long been a powerful choice in Warzone, but it’s climbed to popularity in Season 5. Its large magazine size, decent range, and impressive headshot multiplier make it an SMG worthy of any loadout.

The best Bullfrog build increases the weapon’s mobility, making sure that you can aggressively push opponents without any hindrance to your speed. Luckily, its magazine size is already large enough that you can add extra mobility attachments.

This large magazine is also very useful for the new, and very well-received, Iron Trials mode. With this mode’s much higher TTK, the extra bullets at your disposal are extremely important when building a loadout.

  • Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
  • Barrel: 7.4″ Task Force
  • Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
  • Stock: Spetsnaz PKM Stock
  • Underbarrel: Bruiser Grip

1. Best MAC-10 Warzone loadout

Warzone MAC-10 loadout

Since it arrived in Warzone, the MAC-10 has been the undisputed go-to SMG. With a fast-fire rate, minimal recoil, and extremely fast time-to-kill, it’s almost impossible to go wrong with the MAC-10. Whether using it alongside a Sniper Rifle or a long-range Assault Rifle, it’s the perfect accompaniment.

The MAC-10 somehow survived the latest round of balance updates, allowing it to remain the best of the bunch. If you don’t have the MAC-10 in your loadout already, we seriously recommend giving it a try.

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: 5.9″ Task Force
  • Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
  • Stock: Raider Stock
  • Ammunition: STANAG 53 Rnd Drum

Although these SMGs are the top five loadouts you should run, the meta is extremely open in Season 5 and you’ll likely find success with almost any weapon.

If you’re looking for more great weapons, then you can check out some of this season’s best Warzone loadouts below:

Warzone players roast “embarrassingly low effort” The Numbers event

Warzone players have slammed Season 5 Reloaded’s The Numbers event, calling the challenges and changes “lazy” and “terrible.”

Warzone The Numbers event and Sai melee weapon

Warzone Season 5 Reloaded’s The Numbers event is here, but players have been less than impressed with the “low effort” and “lazy” challenges and changes.

Each Season, there’s usually a Warzone event to give players some new challenges to complete and rewards to earn. These have included fan-favorites such as The Haunting of Verdansk and the 80s Action Heroes, but players are calling Season 5’s The Numbers event a disappointment.

For this event, the Mobile Broadcast Stations have been activated and players must visit each one to complete the challenges and unlock the Sai melee weapon. With how quick and easy this is to complete, players have slammed the “extremely underwhelming” event.

As with every event, players must complete a series of challenges to unlock Charms, Calling Cards, and an exclusive weapon Blueprint. The Numbers follows a similar format, but all players need to do is visit each Broadcast Station and they don’t feel the event is challenging or unique enough.

In a post slamming the latest Warzone event, Reddit user TheDudeofDudez said that The Numbers is “embarrassingly low effort” and “terrible.” They complained of the challenges lack of variety, where all you have to do is “Walk up to a van and press a button, hear some numbers, and that’s it.”

Another Redditor, JustThatOneGuy, elaborated on the issue. They explained that they completed all but two of the challenges in one game, and that was because the gas came in. “There’s no sense of speed or urgency as they’re active all match once activated,” they described. “No skill required to win gunfights as there’s no limit on how many are available per game.”

Popular Warzone YouTuber JGOD had the same experience, saying that it took him seven minutes to complete the challenge and unlock the Sai.

The event is now live, so it’s very likely it will stay this way until it concludes on October 5. While many feel it’s disappointing, some said they are just glad that the free Sai weapon is easy to unlock.

Warzone Mobile Broadcast Stations

Warzone Season 5 is finally upon us, and it’s come with a whole host of tweaks and changes. One thing players will have noticed is Warzone Mobile Broadcast Stations popping up around Verdansk. But what are they, and where can you find them?

As is the case with every update, players are eager to dive back into Warzone Season 5 and check out the latest batch of changes. From new weapons such as The Cane to stylish skins to chase after, such as Kyube Kitsune, there’s plenty to play for and unlock this time around.

One of the changes, however, is causing a mysterious broadcast to be played around Verdansk. The patch notes for Warzone Season 5 noted that Mobile Broadcast Stations would be coming to the game as a new point of interest for players to fight over. Here’s everything we know about the Mobile Broadcast Stations that are now ready for players to activate.

What are Mobile Broadcast Stations in Warzone Season 5?

Call of Duty Warzone

These mysterious little POIs had begun spawning around the map since the launch of Season 5 and have been dormant until September 21, 2021, when Raven Software activated them. Players can now travel to these vehicles to complete challenges and earn various rewards.

Raven Software has kept their use relatively vague up until now, urging players to “keep their head” when they approach one and “tune out” the broadcast each one emits.

How to activate and use Mobile Broadcasts Station in Warzone Season 5?

To look at, they are essentially large trucks with telegraph poles sticking out the top of them. If you stumble across an active one, you will be greeted by an alarm sound and see that the antenna is raised further into the air.

Here’s how to activate one of them:

  1. Walk up to a Mobile Broadcast Station
  2. Approach the back-left corner of the station
  3. Stand in front of a big, red button and press your “Activate” button
  4. You’ll receive some cash, and a broadcast will be played, so make sure you’re stood close enough to hear it

Warzone Mobile Broadcast Stations locations

You can find all of the Warzone Mobile Broadcast Stations locations on the map below:

  • North of the Airport
