How to disable helmet cam in Modern Warfare 2

Change is always going to be divisive no matter how you look at it as you will get people who embrace the concept, whereas others will naturally oppose it. So it’s understandable that not everyone has warmly taken to Modern Warfare 2’s new helmet cam.
This brand new way of viewing and spectating CoD matches offers up a Go-Pro-like perspective providing an interesting new approach to watching the action unfold.
Whereas players have been happy with the redesigned and simplified camo system, this new spectator camera is a bit more 50/50, so here’s how to turn off the helmet cam in Modern Warfare 2.
How to turn off the helmet cam in Modern Warfare 2
First thing you’ll need to do is head into the game’s settings as this is where you’ll find the option to disable the helmet cam perspective for Modern Warfare 2.
Here are our complete instructions for you to follow:
- From the main menu, head into Settings.
- Now, locate the Graphics tab.
- Keep scrolling through all the settings until you get somewhere near the bottom of it.
- You should now see Default Spectator Camera option.
- Finally, switch it to Game Perspective and you should now have the classic camera as the default.
As with all settings of this nature, if you decide you want to experiment with it again then you can always revert this action.
Also, if you want a swift change in the blink of an eye, then you can also press Triangle on PlayStation, Y on Xbox, or your applicable keybind on PC, to quickly switch between the two options.
