Epic Games has finally added in the option to disable pre-edits, a long-awaited feature from the Fortnite community.
Pre-edits have been a hot topic of debate amongst the Fortnite community since release. Many have hailed it to be a useless feature, becoming an annoying obstacle in combat.
Finally, Epic have listened to the community by adding a feature to disable this edit option.
What is “pre-editing?”
Pre-editing is the process of editing a structure before you place it on the ground. This used to be useful for players on controller who wanted better access to ramps in the Combat Pro era, but has seen a sharp decline in use and is now just an annoying feature that can be accidentally activated.

Accidently activating a pre-edit can be a frustrating experience, and can even result in lost build battles if you make a big enough mistake.
There are still some niche uses for pre-edits, like the one below, but they get in the way more often than not.
How to turn off pre-edits
To disable this feature, you’ll have to go to the settings tab in-game, then scroll down to the “building” section. Here, you’ll find the option to toggle the setting off.
That’s it! You no longer have to worry about pre-edits getting in the way of your game sessions. You can always toggle this option back on later if you want to do something specific with your structures.

How to get exclusive Batman skins in Fortnite with DC Comics
Exclusive Batman universe themed skins may appear soon in Fortnite according to popular dataminer ShiinaBR.
Exclusive Batman universe-themed skins will be available in Fortnite in the future according to popular leakers.
Now it appears that an exclusive Batman X Zero Point promo is coming soon to fans of Fortnite, and according to popular Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR, it will drop on April 20, 2021.
According to Shiina, there will be a new Rebirth Harley Quinn skin variant added to the game, which will be exclusive to those who purchase a print edition of the Zero Point comic book.
This skin and comic will surely become a collectible in due time, so be sure to snag a comic book as soon as you can.
Additionally, it also seems Shiina believes a Batman Point Armored skin is in the works as well to ship in April. Currently, it’s unknown on how exactly we’ll be able to obtain this skin, but we’re willing to bet it will most likely appear in the item shop.
This partnership between Epic Games and DC looks like its going quite well, especially considering this will be the second time we see the partnership in full effect after the Batman event in September of 2019.
Perhaps we will see more Zero Point comic books in the future, and maybe all the physical copies of those comic books will all include unique skins for players to obtain in-game.
Regardless of where the future takes this partnership between DC and Epic Games, we’re excited nonetheless to see the next chapter. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
How to get Fortnite’s Alien skins in Season 5
You can get yourself some neat Ripley and Xenomorph skins, along with other Alien-themed cosmetics in Fortnite Season 5.
The legendary Alien movie franchise is the latest to team up with Epic Games for a crossover in Fortnite Season 5. Here’s how you can get your hands on the brand new Ellen Ripley and Xenomorph skins.
Fortnite Season 5 has introduced numerous crossovers with other franchises, as we’ve seen the arrival of Master Chief, The Terminator, and The Flash, among others. Now, Epic Games have brought in some new cosmetics from the Alien franchise.
The iconic sci-fi heroine Ellen Ripley has shown up on Fortnite Island alongside her nemesis, the Xenomorph. There is also a cute Chestburster emote that comes with these skins, and here’s how you can get this bundle for yourself.
Certain Fortnite cosmetics sets become available immediately through the Battle Pass, while others have you complete a few challenges or quests first. Luckily, this Alien bundle requires far less effort for you to get it.
You can acquire the entire Space Gear Bundle from the Item Shop for a limited time. This cosmetics set consists of the following items:
- Ellen Ripley Skin
- Xenomorph Skin
- Xenomorph Tail Back Bling
- Xeno Menace (Built-in Emote)
- Nostromo Crew Outfit
- Weyland-Yutani Cat Carrier
- P-500 Power Loader Arm Pickaxe
- Cheyenne Dropship Glider
- Burst Case Scenario Emote
The developers have done a great job of emulating the aesthetic of the 1979 classic with these items. You can choose to either terrify your opponents as the Xenomorph, or show how hard-hearted you can be as the iconic Ellen Ripley.
Epic Games confirmed in a official blog post that these cosmetic items are available from Thursday, February 25 onwards, but they haven’t elaborated on when the bundle will disappear from the in-game store.
Cosmetic bundles always come and go in Fortnite’s Item Shop, so we don’t expect these skins to stick around there for long. Which is why you should get your hands on the Alien set before it disappears.
With a few weeks of Fortnite Season 5 still left, we’re left wondering what other crossovers we can expect, with Family Guy’s Peter Griffin even being rumored to join the battle royale.

Where to find Mave and Storm Scout Sniper in Fortnite Season 5
Fortnite’s February 24 update has shuffled the location of the The Storm Scout Sniper exotic weapon. Here’s where you’ll find it.
Epic Games have changed the location of the The Storm Scout Exotic sniper in Fortnite’s February 24 update. Here’s where you can find this powerful weapon on the map now.
The Storm Scout is currently one of the most highly sought after weapons in Fortnite due to the benefits it grants to the user. Aside from having an impressive damage output, it will also show you where the storm will form beforehand.
Epic Games came out with a new update for Season 5 on February 24, which has shuffled the locations of some of the Exotic weapons, including this sniper rifle. It’s now available on a completely different part of the map, and we’ll help you find it.
Mave and Storm Scout sniper rifle location
Initially, you were able to purchase the Storm Scout sniper rifle by giving 1,225 gold bars to Lexa at Hunter’s Haven, Now, you’ll have to make your way a little bit further east in order to acquire this Exotic weapon.

After the update, the sniper rifle came under the possession of an NPC named Mave, who you can find just east of Catty Corner. In order to make things a bit easier, you can take a look at her location on the map below:
Here’s what you need to do in order to get the Storm Scout Exotic sniper rifle in Fortnite:
- After landing in the map, make your way towards the cliffside southeast of Catty Corner
- Go interact with Mave, who will be hanging out by the cliffside.
- Select the Storm Scout sniper option and then purchase it
Once you’re done with this interaction, closing the menu will cause the weapon to automatically show up in your inventory. If you want to get your hands on it then you’ll have to pay 500 Gold Bars to Mave, which isn’t a lot when you consider that it initially costed 1,225.
Still, you should try saving up a bit before you make this purchase. You can earn more Gold Bars for yourself by completing bounties or challenges set by NPCs across Fortnite Island.
That covers everything you need to know about finding the Storm Scout Exotic sniper rifle after the February 24 update. Just follow the instructions we gave you, and you’ll face no problems in doing so.
Keep in mind that Epic Games might shuffle the locations once again for this, along with the other Exotic weapons. If that happens, we’ll be sure to let you know where to look!
With Fortnite Season 6 just around the corner, we’ll keep checking for any more updates by Epic Games to the game’s Exotic Weapons.
