How to earn Cabal Gold in Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen
The latest Destiny 2 update has brought some major changes to the game, and this includes a new in-game currency called Cabal Gold. It’s quite rare, so here’s how you can earn it in Season 13.
Destiny 2’s brand new Season of the Chosen expansion is finally here, and is expected to continue until May 11, 2021. The latest season has brought a plethora of brand new in-game content such as strikes, weapons, vendors and more.
In order to unlock a few of the neat new features, you’ll have to gather the new in-game currency known as Cabal Gold. This is incredibly rare and difficult to find, but there are a few ways for you to obtain it for yourself.
How to get Cabal Gold in Destiny 2
Cabal Gold can be used to unlock a new item called the Hammer of Proving, which will allow you to smash open chests at the end of Battlegrounds matches, gain Umbral Engrams, and receive new upgrades.

The best way to obtain Cabal Gold is by completing certain activities in Destiny 2, including Crucible, Gambit, Public events, Playlist Strikes, Nightmare Hunts, and The Blind Well. The better you play, the higher your chances of getting that payout.
Another method is to play through Dungeons and Raids, but these are currently experiencing a bug that is keeping players from receiving the currency. For that reason, we recommend that you stick with the other activities for now.
If you wish to improve the Hammer of Proving, then you’ll need to earn a total of 84 Cabal Gold Pieces, and then bring it over to H.E.L.M, which is the central base of operations during this season. You can learn how to unlock and improve the Hammer in our guide.
It’s worth keeping in mind that even completing the game’s activities successfully won’t guarantee that you will receive any Cabal Gold pieces. They’re difficult to obtain unless you get extremely lucky while playing.
