How to enable low gravity Firing Range mode in Apex Legends

Apex Legends’ Firing Range has an array of secret modes, and it seems players have found yet another in the form of a low gravity state.

For those who are looking to take a break from Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale grind and have some fun in the Firing Range with friends, this is how you can enable low gravity in Apex Legends.

Apex Legends can be a very competitive game, especially if you’re into grinding Ranked Leagues, but public lobbies can sometimes feel overwhelmingly sweaty.

If you’ve had enough of the competitiveness and coming across teams who look like they’re in the ALGS, perhaps it’s time to have some fun in the Firing Range.

Apex Legends valkyrie using jetpack

Apex Legends’ Firing Range is home to a vast amount of secrets, including a third-person mode, and even a mode where the standstill bots start moving and shooting back at you.

These modes were clearly put into the Firing Range by the devs, as they require specific steps to activate them. This low gravity mode, however, is more of a glitch, and only possible thanks to Valkyrie.

Upon Valkyrie’s arrival into the Apex Games, players noticed a glitch where the Legend would feel weightless after jetpacking and interacting with a zip-line. The low gravity mode in Firing Range is essentially this same feeling, but with a simple trick you can use it on any Legend and it lasts even after touching the ground.

How to activate low gravity in Apex Legends

Despite not being available for a while, the low gravity mode is back in the Firing Range in time for Season 12.

  1. First off, head to the Firing Range and play as Valkyrie.
  2. Next, fly into the air with her jetpack and let her fuel run out.
  3. As soon as her fuel runs out, quickly change Legend mid-air.
  4. If done successfully, after you have fallen, you should have low gravity enabled.

We recommend trying Pathfinder with this low gravity mode, as using his grapple with zero gravity is even more riveting than before, especially if you throw some Octane Launch Pads down too.

This low gravity mode has actually reminded players of a similar glitch in Titanfall 2, whereby using the Northstar Titan, players could get out while it was hoovering and low gravity would be enabled.

This is either a coincidence due to the same developers and game code, or this was actually left in the game as an ode to Valkyrie’s father’s Titan, the Northstar.

Either way, it’s great fun and an awesome way to mess around with friends in the Firing Range, especially while you’re waiting for new content like the Control LTM.

Apex Legends best Arenas Legends: Arena Legends ranked

Apex Legends Arenas is a different experience to BR where some characters fare better than others. Here’s our ranked list for the 3v3 mode.

Published

apex legends best legends for arenas

Apex Legends’ 3v3 mode, Arenas, forces an isolated way to play the battle royale which causes some Legends to be more useful than others, so we ranked them all to help you decide on team composition.

There’s a great variety of game modes to choose from in Apex Legends, and while you might be tempted to test your skill in the new Ranked Leagues system for Season 13, Arenas is also a great place for some competition.

Figuring out what Legend to use in Arenas can be a difficult decision, especially when the 3v3 mode is so different from the standard battle royale mode.

With that being said, we ranked all the Legends in Apex according to their viability in the 3v3 mode. Here are the best Legends to use in Arenas.

Best Legends in Apex Legends Arenas for Season 13

Keep in mind that this tier list is solely based on a Legend’s contribution to the team within Arenas, not Respawn‘s battle royale mode. If you’re interested in the best Legends to use for battle royale, check out our piece here:

Remember, due to the nature of Arenas, some of the Legends’ abilities are deemed much less effective, like Loba‘s Black Market. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use them if you would like to, as they can still be great as long as you hit your shots!

  1. Lifeline
  2. Newcastle
  3. Wraith
  4. Gibraltar
  5. Octane
  6. Pathfinder
  7. Valkyrie
  8. Bloodhound
  9. Horizon
  10. Rampart
  11. Mirage
  12. Wattson
  13. Caustic
  14. Fuse
  15. Ash
  16. Bangalore
  17. Seer
  18. Mad Maggie
  19. Crypto
  20. Revenant
  21. Loba

Top 3 Legends for Arenas

3. Wraith

The interdimensional skirmisher, Wraith, takes the number 3 spot for her offensive capabilities and survivability.

Her small hitbox makes it hard for enemies to get shots off on Wraith, allowing her to move fast and get to where she needs to go.

Being aggressive is vital in Arenas, and Wraith’s abilities allow her to do just that, being able to get in and out of the fight easily with her tactical, as well as make a defensive play with the portal for survivability.

2. Newcastle

Newcastle is Season 13’s brand-new Legend, and not only does he perform very well in the battle royale, but he also dominates in Arenas, hence why he is at the number two spot.

Newcastle’s Passive shield revive is extremely strong for getting teammates back into the fight, especially if you purchase a Gold Backpack. His Tactical mobile shield is also great for Arenas, as it allows your team to push and put pressure on the enemy team while being behind moving cover.

Lastly, his Ultimate, Castle Wall, can be bought every round, and although it’s quite expensive, the defensive protection and offensive capabilities of blocking off paths and creating advantageous cover in positions of power are extremely powerful.

1. Lifeline

apex legends arenas Lifeline

Lifeline is a great option for Arenas, mainly due to her ability to keep teammates alive and get more health consumables from Loot Bins.

Lifeline’s health drone can get you or a teammate back to full health without the need to pop a syringe or medkit, which could save precious time. Further, although her Ultimate is fairly useless, her Passive drone revive is arguably her best trait for Arenas.

Combine this with the Gold Backpack and you’ll be reviving teammates back with shield and health, which allows them to get right up and help out. This is unbelievably clutch and also the main reason she is number one on our ranked list.

Apex Legends Mobile has some great exclusive features, including a Team Deathmatch mode and unlimited ammo option in the Firing Range.

As well as this, the mobile FPS also has its first mobile-only Legend in Fade, who isn’t being introduced into the PC and console versions of Apex Legends anytime soon, especially as Season 13 just brought Newcastle.

With that being said, what is the Apex Legends Mobile roster, and which Legends are mobile-exclusive?

Apex Legends Mobile is a completely separate game from the PC and console version of the battle royale. With that comes a different Legend roster from the main game, and in its current state, it is much smaller.

Currently, there are ten Legends in Respawn‘s Apex Legends Mobile, giving players a decent number to choose from. Players will have to play a fair amount before they are able to unlock all these Legends, but these are the current characters that can be seen in-game:

  • Bloodhound
  • Gibraltar
  • Pathfinder
  • Wraith
  • Bangalore
  • Caustic
  • Mirage
  • Octane

Apex Legends dataminers may have discovered the next Legend to get a Prestige Skin in Season 13.

Apex Legends Season 13 has offered a lot of new content for players, as well as introducing various changes in the patch notes that have tweaked the best weapons and Legends to use.

Having said that, players are still awaiting the first Collection Event of the season, which is rumored to bring Valkyrie’s Heirloom.

Dataminers have even gone a step further and discovered what Legend will be receiving a Prestige Skin this season.

apex legends bangalore

According to the reputable leaker’s channel Thordan Smash, the Legend that will be receiving a Prestige Skin in Apex Legends Season 13 will be Bangalore, who also has an Heirloom.

This makes a lot of sense considering the fact that we have had a lot of Bangalore-lore this season thanks to her brother becoming the new Legend, Newcastle.

Further, as Prestige Skins are based on Titanfall Pilots, we know that Bangalore was training to become one, making this Prestige skin make sense.

In Thordan Smash’s latest video, players can actually see the leaked design of Bangalore’s Prestige Skin, which takes on an IMC-themed Pilot outfit.

We’re unsure what the event containing this Bangalore Prestige Skin will be called. However, as the Valkyrie Heirloom is reported to be included in the leaked Awakened Collection Event, we are expecting to see it in the second event for the season.

Remember, these are just leaks and speculation, so take it all with a pinch of salt. Nothing concerning the next Prestige Skin is confirmed as of yet, but once Respawn provides some new information, we’ll be sure to update this piece.
