The Predator in Fortnite Season 5

The Predator is the latest enemy added to Fortnite Season 5, and you can battle him to unlock a brand new skin. This boss fight will be extremely difficult, so here’s the best way to get it done quickly.

Epic Games dropped the v15.21 update on Wednesday, January 20, and this brought some brand new content to Fortnite Season 5. This includes The Predator, who is available as a Boss character for you to battle.

Defeating him is one of the Jungle Hunter Quests in the Battle Pass, and completing that will unlock the Predator skin. Killing this alien hunter is no easy task since he’s a powerful foe, so here are some tips to keep in mind.

Where to find Predator in Fortnite Season 5

If you want to challenge The Predator then you’ll have to visit Stealthy Stronghold, which is located on the north part of the map. Once you’re there, you should head towards the forest on the left-hand side of the POI.

Unfortunately, the hunter doesn’t remain in the same place, so you’ll have to explore the forest a bit before you come across him. The best spot to look at is the location of his crashed ship, which we’ve marked on the map below.

If you’ve seen the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger classic, then you’ll know why The Predator is so difficult to defeat. He comes with unmatched agility that lets him dart between the trees and surroundings quickly.

You’ll also face some difficulties due to the enemy’s Cloaking Device that allows him to completely camouflage himself. This means that you’ll have an even harder time tracking his movements until he appears right next to you.

Another obstacle comes in the form of the players that you’ll be competing against to complete this quest and unlock the skin. However, you can use this to your advantage by letting them do half of the work for you.

Here’s the best way to defeat The Predator in Fortnite:

  1. Jump from the Battle Bus and land in Stealthy Stronghold.
  2. Collect the best weapons you can find.
  3. Head to the Predator’s location on the left-hand side of the POI.
  4. Watch the other players damage the alien from a distance.
  5. Once he’s been weakened, kill him with close-range and medium-distance weapons.
Predator Cloaking Device

That sums up everything you need to do in order to defeat The Predator. Just hang back, and watch the other players chip away at his health from a distance until your opportunity opens up to land the final blows.

You can make things even easier on yourself by getting help from your friends, so drop into Stealthy Stronghold as part of a Trio or Squad. Once the enemy has been dealt with, you can loot the Cloaking Device from his body.

In addition to the cloak, you will also unlock The Predator skin that you’ll need to wear to tackle the other Jungle Hunter Quests. It looks extremely cool, and you’d better get your hands on it as soon as you can.

Fortnite Ant-Man skin leaked as next Marvel crossover for Season 5

Fortnite data miners have discovered that the next hunter skin to come to Chapter 2, Season 5 is Marvel’s Ant-Man.

Fortnite is set to further bolster its roster of Marvel Superheroes, with data miners uncovering Ant-Man as the next Hunter to join Season 5.

Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 4 went all-in on superhero content. Avengers and X-Men joined the battle royale fray and Stark Industries arrived as a POI on the map. This super-hero-themed season ended with Marvel characters and Fortnite players joining forces to defeat Galactus – which brought us into Season 5.

Over the course of Season 5, Jonesy has brought hunters to the island from various universes and pop culture. We’ve seen The Mandalorian, Master Chief, Predator, and The Terminator arrive over the course of the season.

Season 6 is set to launch around March 16, but it appears Epic Games are going to treat players to at least one last hunter before the season ends.

An image and audio files discovered by Fortnite data miner VastBlast strongly hint at Marvel superhero Ant-Man’s arrival.

Popular and reliable Fortnite leaker HYPEX confirmed this theory by tweeting on March 5 that “The next hunter is confirmed to be Ant-Man!”

Ant-Man was a notable exclusion from Season 4, especially when he had his own POI, Ant Manor.

However, it appears Jonesy has recruited him to help stabilize the Zero Point. Some crazy stuff with the Zero Point is expected to happen at the end of Season 5, and Ant-Man could very well tie into this. Ant-Man can shrink down so small that he enters the Quantum Realm, which may be a valuable skill Jonesy is looking for.

How to get Ant-Man skin in Fortnite

No information has been revealed on how Ant-Man will enter the Fortnite fray, but by looking at how previous new pop culture characters have been added, we can make an educated prediction.

Ant-Man and the Wasp

It’s highly likely that Ant-Man will come to the Item Shop alongside a series of cosmetic items associated with the character. We’re not sure on a release date, but with the end of Season 5 quickly nearing the horizon, it’ll most likely arrive at some point in the week beginning March 8.

Fortnite often releases male and female versions of their most popular skins, so it’s very likely that we will also be seeing The Wasp come to Fortnite either at the same time as, or not long after, Ant-Man arrives.

When does Fortnite Season 6 start? Chapter 2 Season 5 end date

Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 6 is almost here, so here’s when Season 5 ends, and everything we know about the next major update.

Published

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 is now nearing its end, but how long does it have left, and when will Season 6 officially launch?

Fortnite divides its content up into Seasons, with Chapters dividing them up further. Once Fortnite reached the end of Season 10 in October 2019, the game moved onto Chapter 2. We’re now nearing the end Chapter 2, Season 5, so players have set their sights on what Season 6 will have in store.

Fortnite Season 4 ended on December 2 following a massive battle between Fortnite players, Marvel heroes, and Galactus. The game was down for a few hours and then Season 5, titled ‘Zero Point,’ kicked off in style.

A plethora of pop-culture characters have come to the game in Season 5, such as Star Wars’ The Mandalorian, God of War’s Kratos, Xenomorphs, and the Predator.

How long does Season 5’s Battle Pass have left, and when does Season 6 start?

When does Fortnite Season 6 begin?

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 will end on March 16, 2021 with Season 6 likely to follow directly after it.

Official Fortnite channels have confirmed that the Battle Pass will end on March 16, so it’s safe to assume that Season 6 will begin during the week beginning March 15.

Popular and reliable leaker HYPEX has also revealed that Season 6 won’t be delayed, as the update has been added to the staging servers on March 5.

What will be in Fortnite Season 6?

Fortnite data miners already have an idea of what Season 5’s end event will look like. In the 15.50 update files, Mang0e discovered NPCs will be “teleported to wacky places by the Zero Point,” and Fort Tory discovered that audio will be distorted as we reach the event.

It’s likely Season 6 will feature significant map changes. We last saw Colossal Coliseum, Stealthy Stronghold, and the return of fan-favorite location Tilted Towers.

The theme for next season’s content is anyone’s guess, but data miners have become adept at deciphering Epic Games’ plans so we’re likely to have a strong idea before it officially launches. There is a plethora of leaked content such as vehicle-based bosses, and the ability to sell your loot to NPCs for Gold that could arrive in Season 6.

As soon as we know more about Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 6, we’ll be sure to update you.

Fortnite leak reveals major tournament planned for Season 6

A recent Fortnite leak is pointing towards a major tournament planned for Season 6 – perhaps even an in-person LAN.

Fortnite Champion Series 2020, 2021

A new Fortnite leak is pointing towards a major tournament planned for Season 6.

It appears that through some Fortnite leaks that the possibility for a new LAN event could be on the horizon. With recent restrictions in place throughout the world, LAN events have been mostly absent throughout 2020.

Recently, players have been competing in the Fortnite Champion Series for the past year, with smaller events happening online.

Now, according to popular Fortnite leaker VastBlastt on Twitter, we may see some LAN events coming soon, as the Live Broadcasting server has recently been updated to the v16.00 version on an update posted on March 3, 2021.

The last time the client saw an update was in January 2020, during the Dreamhack Anaheim event, which was the final LAN before the health crisis shut down all in person LAN events for the remainder of 2020, and into 2021.

We are unaware on exactly what this could mean, as Epic Games have already confirmed we won’t be seeing a World Cup in 2021.

If this is in fact for a LAN event, this would be the second LAN event announced by a developer for 2021, as VALORANT developer Riot have already announced that a LAN event will be occurring during 2021.

Fortnite's Champion Series, 2020, 2021

Most likely though, is that this is just an update for the Live Broadcasting server, in preparation for future events that will be hosted in 2022, or maybe Epic Games plans to use the client for other reasons.

Regardless for the reasoning behind this update, we’ll sure find out in the coming months if this is related to a LAN event. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that conditions in the world improve so we can get back to in-person esports as soon as possible.

We’ll keep you updated if we hear any additional information.
