How to find hidden caches with your submarine in GTA Online
The arrival of the Cayo Perico Heist has brought a ton of new content. The new submarine is an expensive investment, but you can use it to find hidden treasure and earn some serious cash on a daily basis.
The arrival of the Cayo Perico Heist has brought a plethora of new GTA Online content. There are a variety of new weapons, missions, vehicles, and even a cool nightclub in Los Santos. One of the first purchases you make will be a submarine HQ for you and your crew.
The underwater vessel in this update is armed with lock-on rocket launchers, and you can use it to explore the depths of the sea in search of hidden treasure. You can find 10 Hidden Caches daily, and each one you collect will give you an RP boost and $7,500 in-game cash.
How to farm Hidden Caches in GTA Online
Finding all of these isn’t going to be a cakewalk, but you can get it done. It’s just a matter of having the right equipment at your disposal, as well as a lot of patience and cash.
Here’s how you can use the submarine to farm Hidden Caches in GTA Online:
- Login to GTA Online
- Open up the Warstock Cache and Carry website on your iFruit phone
- Select and purchase the submarine from the site
- Enter Upgrades and pick the Sonar System. This will point out the location of nearby caches
- Purchase a mini Submarine which you will use to collect the treasure
- Head towards the nearest Hidden Cache to collect it
The Sonar System on the large underwater vessel will help you find the locations of the nearest Hidden Cache, and then you can use the Minisub to go out and collect it. Once you’ve got it, you can check the scanner for the next one that’s closest to your location, and farm XP by repeating this process.
Once you’re near a Hidden Cache, then it becomes easy to find. The Sonar System will inform you how close it is, and it will be marked on the map with an easy to spot symbol.
As with most of the new Cayo Perico content, this venture isn’t going to come cheap. You’ll have to spend $2.2 million on the submarine just to participate. The Sonar System will cost $1.2 million and then you’ll have to spend an extra $1.54 million to store a Kraken Avisa submersible inside.
Needless to say; this isn’t something that any player can do. However, if you’ve got the money, then it’s definitely worth pursuing Hidden Caches in order to get some easy cash and RP every day. Being able to earn up to $75,000 daily is a great deal.
The Cayo Perico Heist is the biggest GTA Online event that we’ve seen. There’s still a plethora of hidden content on the island, and we’ll keep you updated as we find more.
