Ever since Battlefield 2042’s Update #3, some PC players have been unable to move their mouse horizontally. However, a senior DICE dev has revealed some solutions.

Battlefield 2042’s Update #3 brought a ton of much-needed fixes to the game, improving hit registration and making the menus much easier to navigate. However, this appears to have caused another issue, where PC players are unable to move their mouse left and right.

DICE’s Lead Game Designer Florian ‘DRUNKKZ3’ Le Bihan has been quick to respond, offering players solutions that are confirmed to have fixed the issue.

Battlefield 2042’s lengthy update #3 patch notes have been welcomed by the community, but DICE’s Lead Game Designer has given solutions for players unable to move their mouse left and right.

Here’s every solution suggested by Florian and the community.

Before we get into the other fixes, Florian suggested a “less ‘drastic'” solution, where you need to reset the On Foot settings and keybinds.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Launch Battlefield 2042
  2. Open up ‘Settings’
  3. Navigate to ‘Mouse & Keyboard’ then ‘On Foot’
  4. Select ‘Restore Default’
  5. Open up the ‘Keybindings’ box
  6. Hit ‘Restore Default’ again

Florian recommends that players first reset all of their Battlefield 2042 keybinds. This will likely fix any issues that cropped up following the update.

Then, you can reapply the best Battlefield 2042 keybinds and settings, to make sure you’re as accurate as possible on foot and in vehicles.

Delete specific Battlefield 2042 file lines

Battlefield news account ‘Battlefield Bulletin’ has found another potential option, where you need to delete some of the infantry lines in Battlefield’s files.

Thanks to Battlefield Bulletin, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Head to Documents on Windows
  2. Find ‘Battlefield 2042’ and open it
  3. Select the ‘Settings’ folder
  4. Open ‘PROFSAVE_Profile’ with notepad
  5. Find ‘GstKeyBinding.infantry.ConceptYaw’
  6. Delete all of the lines and save file

Another solution suggested by Florian is to delete the Battlefield 2042 folder in your Documents. YouTuber JackFrags confirmed this worked for him, so is well worth trying.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open up File Explorer on Windows
  2. Go to ‘Documents’
  3. Find ‘Battlefield 2042’
  4. Delete the folder
  5. If this has caused any issues, right click on Battlefield 2042 in Origin and select ‘Repair’

Hopefully one of these solutions will fix the mouse stuck glitch and you’ll be able to move your mouse left and right after downloading Update 3.
