How to fix Fortnite Xbox Live Purchase Check Failure

Fortnite has a huge wealth of skins and cosmetics to purchase, but the Xbox Live Purchase Check Failure bug is stopping players from buying new items or even logging in. There are a couple of workarounds, so here’s how to fix it.

Fortnite is now in the third season of its third chapter, and a ton of skins and cosmetics have arrived through the Item Shop with more being added all the time such as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Street Fighter’s Blanka and Sakura.

Unfortunately, Xbox players have been hit by the Xbox Live Purchase Check Failure bug which states: “An error has occurred while querying purchases; purchased content may be temporarily unavailable.”

Not to worry, there are a few tried and tested workarounds to fixing the Xbox Live Purchase Check Failure bug and getting back to playing Fortnite and completing the Weekly Quests.

How to fix Xbox Live Purchase Check Failure in Fortnite

First, Fortnite players should try restarting their console to get rid of the Xbox Live Purchase Check Failure, but if that doesn’t work, then you can try clearing your Network Card Cache or the Game Cache.

Here’s everything you need to do to fix Fortnite’s Xbox Live Purchase Check Failure:

How to clear Network Card Cache

  1. Press the Xbox button on your controller
  2. Select Settings
  3. Head to Network Settings
  4. Select Advanced Settings
  5. Click Change Settings and select Alternate MAC Address
  6. Hit Clear
  7. Follow the prompt to restart your Xbox
  8. Launch Fortnite

How to clear Game Cache

  1. Press the Xbox button on your controller
  2. Select Settings
  3. Head to the System tab
  4. Go to Storage and select Clear Local Saved Games
  5. Confirm with Yes and restart your Xbox
  6. Launch Fortnite

One of these two solutions should have fixed the Xbox Live Purchase Check Failure bug that players have been experiencing.

Having said that, it’s also worth checking if there’s an issue with Xbox Live Services, in which case it would be out of your hands.
