The first way to get around this glitch is to hit right on your controller’s D-pad. This button helps the game detect that the player is using a controller to play instead of a mouse and keyboard.

If this doesn’t work, then there are other methods that you can try out. Some players have reported that the right stick issue gets fixed after getting killed. This can ruin the match, but you’ll regain control of your Operator.

The final method that you can try out is to turn off the game altogether. Booting CoD: Vanguard back up will cause your controller to function properly again. You should also make sure that your controller is fully charged.
