How to fix Warzone dev error 6039 on PS4, PS5, PC & Xbox
In order to fix Warzone’s dev error 6039 on PlayStation 4 and other platforms, you need to completely uninstall Warzone and reinstall it.
This will initiate a clean install of Warzone, replacing any of the missing or corrupt data packs that are causing dev error 6039.
Some players have suggested that you should first try checking for updates, clearing up some hard drive space, or completely rebooting your system. However, the only reliable method appears to be completely deleting Modern Warfare and Warzone.
Here’s how to uninstall a game on PS4, but the process is much the same on all other platforms:
- Navigate to your PS4’s Games Library
- Locate Modern Warfare 2019/Call of Duty: Warzone
- Once it’s highlighted, press the ‘Options’ button and then hit ‘delete’
