How to free-roam Cayo Perico in GTA Online

You can use a trick in Grand Theft Auto Online in order to free-roam around the Cayo Perico island with your buddies.

There is a trick that you can use in Grand Theft Auto Online to free-roam around Cayo Perico with your friends. It involves owning a Motorcycle club or becoming CEO of a business.

The Cayo Perico Heist went live in GTA Online on December 14, and it has brought a plethora of new content to the game such as weapons, missions, vehicles, and even a cool nightclub. This is GTA V’s first map expansion so you may want to explore the new island.

The bad news is you don’t have much freedom in what you can do in this new location so you’re out of luck if you intend to purchase a home there, and gun down NPCs. You’ll mostly be battling armed guards during your time there.

Despite this, a few players have discovered a neat trick that lets you and your friends free roam around the island without coming under fire from the patrolling grunts.

How to free roam in Cayo Perico

This trick was discovered by Reddit user MrBossFTL3822, and it involves you becoming either the owner of a Motorcycle Club or the CEO of a business. You do it fairly quickly, and then enjoy exploring the island with your buddies.

Here’s how you can free roam Cayo Perico in GTA Online:

  1. Complete the Cayo Perico ‘Scope Out’ mission
  2. Start it again, and go to Los Santos airport
  3. Approach the yellow mission marker and then request a CEO or MC job
  4. Enter the marker and request a job as the cutscene starts
  5. Request a contact job after spawning at Cayo Perico
  6. Quit it and make your way to the beach party to enter free roam

That’s all you have to do to enter free roam. This will trick the game into thinking that you’re just partying at the beach, and you can enjoy exploring the island with your friends without the guards attacking.

Unfortunately, you can’t attack the guards while you’re in free roam as they will enter a God mode. There’s no point to emptying your clips into them as it will not deal any damage, and you’re better off just enjoying your exploration of the island.

There a ton of fun activities that you can enjoy with your friends when free-roaming Cayo Perico, such as finding easter eggs. So far there’s no way to use this trick to exploit the heist itself, so Rockstar probably won’t get rid of it any time soon.

The Cayo Perico Heist is the biggest GTA Online event that we’ve seen so far. There’s still a ton of new content to be discovered in it, and we’ll keep you updated as we learn more.

How to GTA V roleplay, who to watch, and more

Grand Theft Auto V’s roleplay mod lets you craft your own story in Los Santos, and we’ve listed some things to keep in mind while playing.

GTA V roleplay mod

Twitch streamers have started dedicating more time to Grand Theft Auto V’s roleplay mod, which is surging in popularity as a result. Here’s everything you need to know about it before jumping in.

GTA V roleplay is a multiplayer mod that PC players can use to play Grand Theft Auto V as NPCs. This is highly customizable and gives you a huge amount of control over the story you craft for yourself in Los Santos.

Many popular Twitch streamers have made this mod so popular that its servers have returned. It can be a bit confusing if you’re trying it out for the first time, so we’ll go over everything you need to know about GTA V roleplay.

Can you play GTA V’s RP mod?

If you own a copy of GTA V on PC then you’re eligible to play the RP mod, but you can only access it via modified games clients such as FiveM and Grand Theft Multiplayer. You can join the server once you’ve made your way there.

You can also earn yourself an invite by roleplaying exceptionally well. This will grant you access to certain exclusive communities, and you’ll soon find yourself rising in popularity. For this reason, you’re encouraged to be as creative as possible.

Certain servers take their roleplaying more seriously than others, with specific rules being set in place. If you find yourself in one of these, you’ll have to ask for tips on how to access menus or perform specific actions.

How to join a GTA V RP server

As we mentioned before, aside from a few open servers, there are some high-level RP ones that require invites to join. If you want to start, then you can head over to their forum or website and then sign up to join them.

Keep in mind that many of these are extremely difficult to get into, and you’ll have to be a particularly talented roleplayer to gain entry. NoPixel’s GTA V RP server is one of the most exclusive ones, and it receives a high amount of applications.

You can also try your luck with other popular servers such as the ones by TwitchRP, Mafia World, and Rage. Be ready to commit to your character if you’re serious about joining these, and don’t break the roleplay.

Which streamers play GTA V RP?

This mod’s recent surge in popularity can be attributed to popular streamers such as Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazar and Saqib ‘Lirik’ Zahid. Both of these players drop into GTA V RP from time to time and play with their own unique characters.

We recommend that you watching others play first, so you can get a better understanding of how this mod works before jumping in yourself. You can check out some players on Twitch, and see how they go about crafting the roleplay.

That covers everything you need to know about Grand Theft Auto V’s roleplay mod. We hope that this guide has been helpful.

All Apex Legends Season 8 character buffs and nerfs

Respawn Entertainment has finally revealed what buffs and nerfs they have planned for Apex Legends Season 8.

Nerfs and buffs on Apex Legends Season 8

The new season of Apex Legends is just around the corner. The developers have let us know which Legends they have plans to give nerfs and buffs to when the Season 8 update goes live in February.

Apex Legends Season 8, titled Mayhem, has been officially been confirmed by Respawn to drop on February 2, 2021. There is a plethora of new content on the horizon, such as LTM’s, Legends, weapon adjustments, and map changes.

The devs will also take this opportunity to fine-tune the existing Legends. Many of the more powerful ones will be nerfed, while the ones that need a buff will receive just that.

Lead Game Designer Daniel Klein has revealed these new changes to players.

Wattson

Wattson is a powerful character, and this is evident by the Legend’s extremely high win rate. This makes her a popular pick among Apex fans and so the devs find it difficult to implement any changes to her abilities.

“The problem is that Wattson has a very high win rate, says Klein. “One that climbs aggressively with skill as well.”

Any change that they make to her abilities can result in a massive shift in how she functions. “She’s fallen off from her near 100% pick rate peak, but it doesn’t take very much to push an already strong character from never seen to everywhere and a pain in the butt.”

She has the highest win rate, along with Horizon, Wraith, Gibraltar, and Lifeline. One fan suggested that the devs add an option to toggle Wattson’s Perimeter Security, which would enable her to take her opponents by surprise.

“We really need to find non-power impacting ways to make Wattson more fun,” Klein said. “I think the toggle on fences has the potential to do that because you may also screw yourself by turning them off at the wrong time.”

Wraith nerf

Wraith has gone through a few throughout her time in Apex Legends. She has a history of being either too powerful or having broken hitboxes, and the developers have to repeatedly “fix” her.

Back in November, Daniel Klein hinted about bringing her “under control” in Season 8, and even jokingly suggested taking Wraith out of the game altogether.

“With Wraith, our approach is going to be very similar to Pathfinder. We’re going to take a look at her hitboxes and see how much wiggle room we have there. With Pathfinder, it turned out that we had so much… that was a 20% increase in hitbox size.”

He made it clear that they will focus on fine-tuning her hitboxes by going the same route they did with Pathfinder’s changes in November’s Season 7 update.

Horizon nerf

Horizon has won over fans ever since she joined the roster in Season 7. Her unique abilities have made her a powerhouse with a huge record of wins, despite the nerfs she has received to her Gravity Lift.

“Our theory internally right now is that she’s too safe with the tactical,” Klein says. “She can use it in so many situations to get out of trouble, and most frustratingly, she can sit atop the tactical and use a battery while A/D strafing faster than she could on the ground.”

The devs will focus on her mobility, while also being open to other possibilities. “The Pathfinder changes have taught us that attacking the hitboxes to bring a character’s win rate under control, without making them less fun is a promising route to try. I’d like us to do this more often.”

Horizon in Apex Legends

Associate Live Balance Designer John ‘JayBiebs’ Larson said: “It’s safe to say (Horizon will) be getting nerfed, but how we do that is important. Looking at her tactical alone there are all sorts of dials we can turn including vertical lift speed, horizontal speed/acceleration, ejection speed/time, cool down, weapon accuracy, and the list goes on.”

Revenant buff

Revenant has an interesting kit and the devs touched upon this Legend when discussing the possibility of reversing hitbox changes. They previously stated that they have no plans to buff Revenant in Season 8. However, they have brought the idea up among themselves.

“We’ve been struggling to find a good buff for Revenant,” said Klein, “I don’t think we’ve properly discussed just shrinking his hitboxes to give him power without making him more frustrating. I’ll bring it up in our balance round table.”

This change to the hitbox would make the Legend much more aggressive. But if they don’t tune it just right then it can become a problem. It will be no fun to play against Revenant if you can’t hit him at all, so they’ll have to be careful.

Rampart buff

Rampart has started off as an incredibly strong option but has fallen in popularity recently. The Season 7 updates did not buff her up as much as other Legends and this left fans a little disappointed. Some of them even suggested a buff for her.

She is confirmed to be getting a buff to her Amped Walls ability in Season 8. The devs will add 45 health to her Tactical and you can read more about these plans in a thread posted to the Apex Legends subreddit.

That sums up every confirmed nerf and buff for Apex Legends Season 8. As we receive more information about the upcoming update, we’ll be sure to update you.

Apex Legends will introduce the new 30-30 Repeater Rifle in Season 8. It also appears to be the same weapon that the new Legend Fuse is wielding in his new promotional material.

Fuse is on his way to the Apex Legends universe. He’s coming from a new planet – called Salvo – and he’s bringing with him his intimidating-looking 30-30 Repeater Rifle.

Despite the fact we are still deep into Season 7 territory, players can’t help but wonder what’s around the corner. Well after the recent reveal of new Legend Fuse, eager battle royalers now have a new toy to get their excited hands-on in a few weeks.

In terms of what ammo the gun will take, the dev stream showed the Repeater Rifle near some Heavy Ammo. This could be an indicator of which type of ammo it needs. However, the official description explains that it functions on ‘hard-hitting rounds’. So whether it’s perhaps Sniper ammo or even a new, niche variety, remains to be seen.

Given that it’s a Lever-Action Rifle, we wouldn’t be surprised to see some scopes being attached to it to improve its long-range capabilities. There are also the usual possibilities of new barrels, stocks, and extended mags. But again, Respawn may decide to single the 30-30 Repeater out and individualize some of its aspects.

The Rifle is expected to be a great risk and reward weapon with accurate shots capable of inflicting incredible amounts of damage. But it will equally punish wayward players that don’t make their shots count.

Finally, the weapon is expected to be accompanied by at least 16 common and rare skins, five Epic skins, and three Legendary ones as well.

Fuse in Apex Legends Season 8

Season 7 of Apex Legends was an odd one in that it reintroduced some old content – in the form of the new Olympus map and R-99 loot – but didn’t add any news guns.

Eagle-eyed players that watched the dev streams in the past knew there was extra content lingering in Apex Legends somewhere.

Respawn Entertainment’s introduction of Fuse has certainly got the community excited for his arrival. This is how our newest Legend is described on the official Apex Legends website:

“Fuse doesn’t lack confidence, but he often lacks a plan. He’s a blow-up-first ask-questions-later kinda guy.”

We’ll have more information on the 30-30 Repeater, Fuse, and more as Respawn continues to dish out the details about the upcoming Season 8 of Apex Legends.
