How to get Fortnite’s Alien skins in Season 5
The legendary Alien movie franchise is the latest to team up with Epic Games for a crossover in Fortnite Season 5. Here’s how you can get your hands on the brand new Ellen Ripley and Xenomorph skins.
Fortnite Season 5 has introduced numerous crossovers with other franchises, as we’ve seen the arrival of Master Chief, The Terminator, and The Flash, among others. Now, Epic Games have brought in some new cosmetics from the Alien franchise.
The iconic sci-fi heroine Ellen Ripley has shown up on Fortnite Island alongside her nemesis, the Xenomorph. There is also a cute Chestburster emote that comes with these skins, and here’s how you can get this bundle for yourself.
Certain Fortnite cosmetics sets become available immediately through the Battle Pass, while others have you complete a few challenges or quests first. Luckily, this Alien bundle requires far less effort for you to get it.
You can acquire the entire Space Gear Bundle from the Item Shop for a limited time. This cosmetics set consists of the following items:
- Ellen Ripley Skin
- Xenomorph Skin
- Xenomorph Tail Back Bling
- Xeno Menace (Built-in Emote)
- Nostromo Crew Outfit
- Weyland-Yutani Cat Carrier
- P-500 Power Loader Arm Pickaxe
- Cheyenne Dropship Glider
- Burst Case Scenario Emote
The developers have done a great job of emulating the aesthetic of the 1979 classic with these items. You can choose to either terrify your opponents as the Xenomorph, or show how hard-hearted you can be as the iconic Ellen Ripley.
Epic Games confirmed in a official blog post that these cosmetic items are available from Thursday, February 25 onwards, but they haven’t elaborated on when the bundle will disappear from the in-game store.
Cosmetic bundles always come and go in Fortnite’s Item Shop, so we don’t expect these skins to stick around there for long. Which is why you should get your hands on the Alien set before it disappears.
With a few weeks of Fortnite Season 5 still left, we’re left wondering what other crossovers we can expect, with Family Guy’s Peter Griffin even being rumored to join the battle royale.
