Fortnite Chapter 3’s first Winterfest event is just wrapping up, and Epic Games are giving players one more gift – the Crescent Shroom Pickaxe. Here’s how to get your hands on Madcap’s Pickaxe before the offer expires.

Fortnite’s Winterfest 2021 event offered players fourteen days of gifts, but many were left wondering why there was a final present left to open.

Epic Games have now revealed that they’re giving away the Crescent Shroom Pickaxe as a bonus gift to apologize for server issues towards the end of December.

You’ll need to be quick to get your hands on this free Harvesting Tool, so here’s how to claim the Crescent Shroom Pickaxe before time runs out.

How to get free Crescent Shroom Pickaxe in Fortnite

All Fortnite players need to do to claim the Crescent Shroom Pickaxe is log in to Fortnite before the Winterfest event ends on January 6 at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM GMT.

Once you log in, it will show that there is another Winterfest Present to open. But there isn’t, and you’ll receive the Crescent Shroom Pickaxe “later this week.”

Fortnite’s servers went down from December 29th into the 30th, and Epic Games are giving players this upcoming Item Shop Pickaxe as an apology.

They’ve also announced another Power Leveling Weekend from January 7 to January 10, where players will earn Supercharged XP.

Fortnite’s Crescent Shroom Pickaxe is a Rare Harvesting Tool that’s part of the highly-anticipated Fungus King set.

Fortnite players have been anxiously waiting for the Madcap character to arrive in the Item Shop, and the Crescent Shroom Pickaxe’s arrival hints that he’ll hit the Store soon.

Leaks indicate that the Crescent Shroom Pickaxe usually sells for 800 V-Bucks, so is well worth logging in to claim.
