How to get Hoopa in Pokemon Go
You can catch Hoopa in Pokemon Go by completing the third part of the Misunderstood Mischief Special Research. Unfortunately, the Special Research was last available in December 2021, and players can no longer access it.
Misunderstood Mischief was released on September 1, 2021, and players had to log in during the season to unlock it. The Special Research isn’t time-pressing implying that once you’ve unlocked it, you can complete it at your own pace.
However, anyone who didn’t log in to the game between September 1, 2021 and December 1, 2021, cannot get Misunderstood Mischief Special Research and accordingly, Hoopa.
There’s no official confirmation on Hoopa’s return to Pokemon Go, either through Research or Raids, but we will keep you informed if Niantic announces its re-release.
