Apex Legends is set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch on March 9, and Respawn will bring some exclusive benefits for players on this platform, including a neat Legendary Pathfinder skin.
Respawn Entertainment received various fan requests to bring Apex Legends to other platforms after its successful launch in 2019. Now, the battle royale is available on consoles, PC and will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on March 9.
Switch users who download the game will receive some neat exclusive benefits, including the new Legendary Pathfinder skin. Luckily, the P.A.T.H. skin is easy enough to acquire, but only for a limited time.
Legendary Pathfinder skin: P.A.T.H.
On March 2, Respawn made a new announcement on the official Apex Legends Twitter account. In this tweet, they highlighted the benefits that will be exclusive to Nintendo Switch users, including the P.A.T.H. skin.
If you own a Switch, then you’ll immediately get to unlock this skin for free, but the offer will only remain available for a limited time. That means that you have between March 9 and May 4 to unlock the exclusive legendary skin for yourself.
The new teaser that was attached to this announcement gave us a good look at the new skin. It’s appearance is red and white, which reflects the Nintendo Switch color scheme and looks extremely cool.
One of the biggest draws to the P.A.T.H. skin will be it’s rarity, with Respawn confirming that it will disappear once the two-month promotional period is complete. Switch players will also receive double XP rewards during the first two weeks after launch.
We initially expected the Switch version of Apex Legends to arrive when Season 8 first went live, but the date was eventually pushed back to March 9. The 30 free battle pass levels will help players on this platform make up for any lost time in the new season.
With a mobile version of the game also planned for the future, we’re left wondering about what other exciting developments Respawn have in store for fans of the battle royale.
