Apex Legends is set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch on March 9, and Respawn will bring some exclusive benefits for players on this platform, including a neat Legendary Pathfinder skin.

Respawn Entertainment received various fan requests to bring Apex Legends to other platforms after its successful launch in 2019. Now, the battle royale is available on consoles, PC and will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on March 9.

Switch users who download the game will receive some neat exclusive benefits, including the new Legendary Pathfinder skin. Luckily, the P.A.T.H. skin is easy enough to acquire, but only for a limited time.

Legendary Pathfinder skin: P.A.T.H.

On March 2, Respawn made a new announcement on the official Apex Legends Twitter account. In this tweet, they highlighted the benefits that will be exclusive to Nintendo Switch users, including the P.A.T.H. skin.

If you own a Switch, then you’ll immediately get to unlock this skin for free, but the offer will only remain available for a limited time. That means that you have between March 9 and May 4 to unlock the exclusive legendary skin for yourself.

The new teaser that was attached to this announcement gave us a good look at the new skin. It’s appearance is red and white, which reflects the Nintendo Switch color scheme and looks extremely cool.

One of the biggest draws to the P.A.T.H. skin will be it’s rarity, with Respawn confirming that it will disappear once the two-month promotional period is complete. Switch players will also receive double XP rewards during the first two weeks after launch.

We initially expected the Switch version of Apex Legends to arrive when Season 8 first went live, but the date was eventually pushed back to March 9. The 30 free battle pass levels will help players on this platform make up for any lost time in the new season.

With a mobile version of the game also planned for the future, we’re left wondering about what other exciting developments Respawn have in store for fans of the battle royale.

Apex Legends Season 10 Ranked updates: Arenas, map rotation, split dates, & rewards

A new season of Apex Legends means a new season of Ranked Leagues, from map rotation to split dates, we’ve got you covered.

Apex Legends Season 10: Emergence is almost here, which also means an update for Ranked Leagues, so let’s get into the details.

Apex Legends Ranked Leagues is a great place for those who want to test their skills out and play for points in a competitive environment, which starting in Season 10, will also be available in Arenas.

No matter how good you are, Apex Legends has a detailed ranking system that will place you on a similar playing field once you play enough games. With Season 10 incoming, let’s check out the updates arriving for the ranked playlist.

Apex Legends season 10 ranked worlds edge

Although there are no major changes for Ranked Leagues this season, there are still a few things to go over such as split dates, rewards, and map rotation.

Split dates

As Apex Legends Season 10 begins on August 3, this would then mean that the first ranked split will also begin on the same day, with the second split coming halfway through the season.

Seasons usually last around 3 months, so with that being said, the halfway mark for Season 10 will be around September 7, so expect the second split to begin around then.

Map rotation

Every new season two maps get picked for Ranked Leagues, one which spans the first split, and another that spans the second.

For Season 10 players will be dropping into Decimated World’s Edge, which has been showcased in the trailers leading up to Season 10’s release.

In the second split, players will be back on Kings Canyon, or at least the Season 8 version of Kings Canyon, with all the changes that were most recently made to it.

Season 10 rewards

Depending on what level you managed to reach in Ranked Leagues for Season 9, players will receive rewards at the start of Season 10.

The rewards include gun charms, badges, season-long dive trails for those who manage to reach the higher ranks, and new this season, Holo Sprays.

The rewards for Season 9’s Ranked Leagues have actually been revealed by EA, showing off the badges and dive trails players will receive.

Ranked Arenas

Season 10 will also mark the first season of Ranked Arenas, which Respawn released details about fairly recently.

3 new BR maps will join Phase Runner, Party Crasher, and Overflow, with one of them joining the trio and rotating with each other every two weeks. The new maps include:

  • King’s Canyon – Hillside
  • World’s Edge – Dome
  • Olympus – Oasis

As well as new maps, Ranked Arenas will also feature new maps and an exclusive ranking system.

Although not much has been shared about how ranking will work in Arenas, we suspect the names and ranks will be the same, however, the way in which you actually receive points and the number of points you need to rank up will be different from the Battle Royale mode.

EA address accidental Apex Legends account bans

EA have issued an apology for the accidental suspensions of various Apex Legends accounts and are working on a fix.

Horizon pointing a shotgun in Apex Legends

Various Apex Legends player accounts were hit with accidental bans after EA cracked down on clubs that violated the terms of service, and now the devs have issued an apology for this problem.

Much like Activision’s Warzone, EA’s Apex Legends has its fair share of players who tend to break the game’s terms of service. As a result, the developers decided to crack down on Apex Clubs with offensive or derogatory names.

However, this ended up backfiring on players, as multiple accounts were hit with bans accidentally on July 29. The Apex Legends community saw this as unfair, and now EA has addressed the issue.

Various Apex Legends players noted that their accounts had been banned, even though they hadn’t broken any terms of service. This was simply due to their affiliation with a club with an inappropriate or blacklisted name.

Community manager EA_Mako confirmed that club-based suspensions were only supposed to be warnings, and EA has reassured players that they are now working on this problem.

“Sorry for the confusion on this one,” Mako said. While a number of warnings did go out for this, it looks like there were a small number of suspensions that unintentionally accompanied those warnings in some cases.”

If players are still banned then there are some steps that the community manager suggested to get around it. Simply restart Apex Legends, sign out, and sign back in to check the account’s status.

If that doesn’t work, then players can try reaching out to EA’s Terms of Service team to get their accounts back. This may take a while, but they’ll get to play Apex Legends again soon enough.

With Season 10: Emergence on its way, players will want to ensure that their accounts are active so that they can enjoy the new update.

Warzone players call for popular Apex Legends feature to be added

Some Warzone players are calling for the developers to implement a feature from Apex Legends, which involves player K/D ratios.

With both Warzone and Apex Legends being extremely popular battle royales, of course, people are going to compare them, with some calling for a feature from Respawn’s game to be added in Warzone.

With the recent news surrounding Apex Legends’ upcoming season, some Warzone players may have been intrigued to check the game out and give it a shot, especially as CouRageJD recently stated that Apex was the best battle royale currently available.

In doing so, players may have noticed differences, not just in gameplay, but also in the stats and recordings of player progression, which some players want for Warzone.

Warzone

Reddit user and Warzone player Excellent_Pass3746 posted his opinion online of which specific Apex Legends feature they would like to see in Warzone.

The post is entitled “KD should reset every season (Or at least show your KD for each season)”

This is a feature that is currently in Apex Legends, however, it doesn’t reset, it simply shows you your K/D for each season, while also showing your overall K/D from every season combined.

This would be great for Warzone, as then players can look back and see how much they have progressed, while also seeing how much of an effect each season’s K/D has on the overall number.

The argument presented is that players would like to see this progression and improvement, and not be defined by their K/D that got off to a bad start when they were learning the game.

Experienced Call of Duty players may have taken to Warzone much faster then those who are new to the franchise, thus this change would be a nice quality-of-life update for players.

Fans in the comments also agree, as although there are alternatives out there for checking your K/D monthly on Warzone, it “would be nice to have it on the game.”
