How to get Sylveon in Pokemon Go
Sylveon is by far one of the best Eevee evolutions in Pokemon Go. Here’s how players can add it to their Pokemon collection.
Eevee offers eight unique evolutions in Pokemon Go which include Sylveon, a fairy-type Pokemon. Here’s every way through which players can unlock it.
Fairy-type Pokemon are relatively rare in Pokemon Go owing to which having a Sylveon in your party is always desirable. It is outclassed only by the likes of Togekiss and Gardevoir and is a great PvP Pokemon for beginners.
Sylveon is an Eeve evolution. Players can get it either by changing the Eevee’s name before evolution or fulfilling certain friendship criteria. This guide will focus on both these methods.
Table of Contents:
- How to evolve Eevee to Sylveon with Pokemon Go hidden name trick

- How to make your Pokemon Buddy ‘excited’ in Pokemon Go
How to evolve Eevee to Sylveon with Pokemon Go hidden name trick
Like all Eevee evolutions, you can get Sylveon with a secret name trick. Choose an Eevee, click on the pen icon beside its name and rename it to Kira. Thereafter, just use the 25 candies and you will obtain a Sylveon.
Having said that, the hidden name trick only works once per every Eeveelution. This implies that after getting one Sylveon through the trick, you can get another only with the traditional method.
How to get Sylveon in Pokemon Go with Buddy Hearts
The permanent method to get Sylveon in Pokemon Go is to get 70 hearts with the Eeeve you want to evolve.
In Pokemon Go, you can obtain hearts with your Buddy Pokemon. To select a buddy, simply tap the Trainer’s portrait on the bottom left corner of the screen and tap the Buddy button.
After making the desired Eevee your buddy, you can collect an affection heart with the following activities:
- Walking together for 2 km (up to three hearts every day).
- Give your Eevee a treat such as berries (up to three hearts every day). Always maintain a one-hour gap between treats.
- Play together.
- Battle together in PvP leagues, Team Rocket Grunt/Leader Battles, Gyms, and Raids (up to three hearts every day).
- Take a snapshot in AR mode.
- Visit a new place which basically means spinning a new Pokestop/Gym.
Even if you don’t walk 6km with your Eevee every day and discover a new location, the remaining tasks like giving berries, playing together, and taking snapshots are fairly easy. Completing them daily should help in getting over 70 Buddy Hearts in less than 10 days.
Once you get 70 Buddy Hearts and reach the Great Buddy level with your Eevee, the evolve option will depict a Sylveon silhouette. The process will still be 25 Eevee candies.
How to make your Pokemon Buddy ‘excited’ in Pokemon Go
Moreover, by bringing your Buddy Pokemon to an ‘excited’ stage, players can get 24 hearts each day. The shop-exclusive Poffin item makes a Pokemon excited, or trainers can complete all the aforementioned tasks to get 32 points.
The image below by Reddit user u/7Kushi explains how each Pokemon Buddy task grants a certain number of points and the respective cooldown.
It is evident that getting a Sylveon is the hardest Eeveelution in Pokemon Go. However, getting this Fairy-type Pokemon is worth the effort if one wants to counter the ferocious dragon-type Pokemon in Master League.
While getting a Sylveon is a memorable moment, having it in a Lucky form is even better. If you’re interested in doing so, make sure to check out our guide on Lucky Pokemon.

With the Kamehameha and Nimbus Cloud making their way to Fortnite, you too can feel like a powerful Super Saiyan from the Dragon Ball universe, so here’s how to get your hands on them.
The Fortnite franchise continues to deliver high-quality crossovers that unite fans across the world, and their latest foray into anime has produced a Dragon Ball Super collaboration. Not only have four new skins made their way to the game, including the Super Saiyan pair of Goku and Vegeta, but players also have a ton of new challenges to discover.
Of course, new skins are not nearly enough to truly shake up the battle royale, but players can also discover new Mythics that have made their way to Fortnite. Goku’s iconic Kamehameha attack as well as his Nimbus Cloud are available as Fortnite items.
Here’s a guide on how to get a Kamehameha and a Nimbus Cloud in Fortnite.
How to get a Kamehameha & Nimbus Cloud in Fortnite
The easiest way to get a Kamehameha or Nimbus Cloud item in Fortnite is to find them in a Capsule Corp Capsule that has dropped from the sky. Thanks to the Fortnite x Dragon Ball crossover, these capsules will fall from the sky and you can track them with your map.
To access the content inside, you’ll have to wait for them to hit the ground, but there should be a Kamehameha or Nimbus Cloud inside. As the Storm closes, more and more Capsule Corp Capsules will appear, so be sure to check for them periodically.
If you’re looking for a more direct way of receiving one of these items, you can also purchase a Kamehameha or Nimbus Cloud from Bulma at Kame House. Luckily, this isn’t the only place to purchase these items as they’re also available from a Dragon Ball Vending Machine, for a cost of 250 Gold Bars.
Those who are confident in their Fortnite combat skills can also get their hands on a Nimbus Cloud or Kamehameha by defeating an opponent who has one in their possession. The Nimbus Cloud will be a great tool to travel around the Island.
How to use a Kamehameha in Fortnite
After securing a coveted Kamehameha, you can use the powerful attack by equipping it and charging it up with the fire button. Hold down the fire button to charge it up, then aim at your target to unleash Goku’s signature attack in the Dragon Ball franchise.
It’s important to note that there’s a 15-second cooldown period between each energy blast which prevents players from spamming the devastating attack. A Kamehameha will deliver 100 damage to enemies upon impact and will continue to deal a smaller amount for three seconds after impact.
That just about sums up how to find a Kamehameha or Nimbus Cloud, for more Fortnite content, check out all of the locations where you can find Versus Boards in the battle royale.
