How to get the Fennec in Rocket League
PsyonixThe Fennec in Rocket League is a car with a simple design, but it is also one of the most popular cars in the game that many pros use in competitive tournaments. If you want to get the Fennec in Rocket League, you can do so through blueprints, trading, or other methods, here’s how.
If you are a fan of racing games like the upcoming Forza Motorsport and soccer games like FIFA 23, you might also enjoy Rocket League, a game that combines both. One of the most popular cars in Rocket League is the Fennec, which has a simple design but a lot of power. The Fennec became popular when pros started using it to win their games and soon, even the casual players wanted to get their hands on it.
However, getting a blueprint for the Fennec in Rocket League is not easy at all. There are only a few ways to obtain it and they all depend on your luck to a large extent.
Having said that, getting a blueprint for the Fennec in Rocket League isn’t a piece of cake. There’s a limited number of methods to obtain it and your luck plays a huge role in all of them.
Here’s how to get the Fennec in Rocket League.
Every way to unlock the Fennec in Rocket League
Drops
Drops in Rocket League hand out Blueprints from a wide range of series and based on your luck, you can get a Fennec Blueprint from them.
The most prominent sources of Drops in Rocket League are:
- The seasonal Rocket Pass grants Uncommon, Rare, and Very Rare Drops.
- Weekly Challenges grant Rare Drops.
- Season Challenges grant three Rare Drops/stage.
- Completing 22 Free Season Challenge grants Rare, Very Rare, and Import Drops.
- Daily and Weekly tournaments offer Drops as rewards if you place high enough.
It is important to state that you can’t get a guaranteed Fennec from any of these Drops. Grind hard to get enough Drops and if you’re lucky, one of them might drop a Fennec Blueprint.
Trading
Rocket League has its own trading system that allows players to trade vehicles including Fennec. You can either ask an in-game friend to hand over a Fennec or find a cheap version on third-party websites like RL Exchange. The unpainted versions naturally cost less and you can customize them later.
When trading with people that you do not know/trust, it is wise to create a secondary account that works as a middleman. Rocket League is free-to-play so this shouldn’t be a hassle.
Trade-In System
Rocket League’s Trade-In system is slightly different from the player trading system but you can get a Fennec through it as well. It basically lets you get one higher rarity item in exchange for five items.
Here’s how it works:
- 5 Uncommon = 1 Rare
- 5 Rare Items = 1 Very Rare
- 5 Very Rare = 1 Import
- 5 Imports = 1 Exotic
- 5 Exotics = 1 Black Market
Since Fennec is an Import quality item, you’ll have to trade 5 Very Rare items and hope for it to be the randomized reward you get. Although the odds of this happening are really low, you’ll be getting rid of unwanted blueprints and there’s nothing to lose.
Blueprints
You can craft a Fennec in Rocket League with a Fennec Blueprint (part of the Totally Awesome series) in your inventory. Here are some ways to obtain Blueprints in the game:
- Randomly received after an online game.
- Trade with players on the same platform.
Do note that you’ll require around 500-800 Credits to turn a Fennec blueprint into a usable car. You can either purchase Credits for real money from the in-game shop or purchase the Premium Rocket Pass for $20. The latter is a good deal as you’ll not only get enough Credits to buy the pass again but also some spare ones that can be used to craft vehicles through Blueprints.
In-game shop
A Fennec Blueprint might be up for grabs in the in-game Rocket League shop someday, so check it frequently. You’ll have to spend Credits to purchase it but clearly, this is the most convenient way to obtain the vehicle.
Why is the Fennec so good in Rocket League?
Fennec’s popularity among Rocket League players sky-rocketed after pro player Chausette45 won DreamHack Valencia with it. Several pro players tried it out eventually and realized that the vehicle is much easier to control.
Fennec’s hitbox is identical to Octane but its body is more well-defined with proper edges. Although it might be just a placebo, many players claim to have better control mid-air and on the ground with the Fennec.
