How to unlock the Wakizashi Sword in Black Ops Cold War & Warzone

Andrew Highton

The Wakizashi Sword is a traditional steel blade that looks great in any loadout, so follow our instructions and we’ll show you how you can have the chance to wield this sophisticated weapon in Black Ops Cold War & Warzone.

The latest melee weapon for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is now live in game for players to unlock and use.

The swords description in-game states the following: “Famously known as the companion sword to the Samurai’s Katana. Traditionally forged using a folded steel technique. Light to wield, resilient to force, and durable to wear.”

They always say that the pen is mightier than the sword, well that’s because this sword is a dangerous device capable of shredding your enemies into a fine paste.

It offers a bit more than a standard knife, it takes a bit longer to use, it doesn’t really matter as the intimidating visual of approaching your enemy head-on with a deadly blade is cool. This is one of those flashy weapons that just looks good in a loadout.

Here is the official weapon’s description: “Famously known as the companion sword to the Samurai’s Katana. Traditionally forged using a folded steel technique. Light to wield, resilient to force, and durable to wear.”

It’s a badass sword that you should at the very least have tucked away in your inventory in case the occasion arises in which you want to use it. In order to unlock the sword, you will have to meet the following requirement:

“With the Combat Knife equipped, execute 2 Finishing Moves in 10 different matches.”

finishing move in call of duty

This is probably a lot more difficult than it appears as Finishing Moves are not that regular, and not that easy to do. If you need some assistance on how to perform this action, here’s a quick guide.

  1. Sneak up on an unsuspecting enemy
  2. Make sure you’re quite close to them
  3. Hold down the right stick to perform the Finishing Move, don’t just press the button

You’re definitely going to need the Ninja Perk, a smaller map, and a lot of patience. Once you’ve done this, you should hopefully now have a very big blade that can effortlessly puncture unsuspecting players.
