As the name implies, the Victory Crown can be worn on your head when you’re on Fortnite Island. It is a new feature that provides its wearers with some neat rewards that will make it highly sought-after.

If you’ve got the Victory Crown then you’ll receive bonus XP during the match while wearing it. If you win a game while you have it on then you’ll get an altered Victory Royale screen where a Crown is added on top of the text.

You will also get an exclusive emote that shows you the amount of Crowned Victory Royales that you earn when playing Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 1. So, wearing the Victory Crown definitely has its advantages.

Victory Crowns will automatically be awarded to the top few players in a game. You can get it when playing Solo, Duos, Trios, and Squads, but you’ll need to play extremely well to succeed.

Once you’ve got one, you’ll start your next match wearing the Victory Crown. This is risky because it makes you a target for other players that will attempt to eliminate you and steal it for themselves.

You’ll need to fight to defend the Crown from enemies, so there is a great degree of risk associated with it. If you wish to avoid that, then you can simply drop the Victory Crown item.
