How to invite friends to games with Warzone 2’s broken social tab

If your Warzone 2 social tab is broken and you’re unable to invite your friends to join you in the game then there’s a simple solution that will let you get around this problem.

Warzone 2’s comes with full crossplay capabilities that let you join other players across different platforms in the game, and you can use the social tab in order to invite your friends to play with you.

However, a strange bug has broken the social tab, preventing players from inviting any of their friends to play. While this is unfortunate, there is a way for you to still hop into Warzone 2 with your friends.

If you make a voice channel in Warzone 2 and add your friends there, they will be able to join your party or send out an invite. You have to make sure that voice chat is enabled for this to work.

Here’s what you need to do:

Launch Warzone 2.
Go to Settings by selecting the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
Go to Audio and select voice chat.
Make sure that both voice chat and proximity chat are enabled.
Return to the Warzone 2 home scene.
Click the headset (voice channels) on the top right of your screen.
Invite your friends to your party.

After the arrival of the Season 1 update patch, Warzone 2’s “Looking For Party” feature includes three preference filters for your in-game communication style: voice chat, text chat, and ping.

The voice channel menu functions similarly to the social tab as it allows you to invite the players that you want and kick out the ones that you don’t. So until the social tab is fixed, you can listen to and talk with everyone on your channel while playing.

Hopefully, the Warzone 2 developers are aware of the issue with the social tab and are working on a fix. We’ll be sure to update you as soon as the Warzone 2 social tab bug has been patched up.
