For many, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is the game responsible for igniting their love for the series. To this day the weapons, maps, and missions from CoD 4 are ingrained in players’ minds.

While players are eagerly anticipating the release of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, a Warzone expert is reliving some of the franchise’s glory days. Luckily, you can take a trip down memory line by recreating CoD 4’s SOPMOD M4 in Warzone Pacific.

The SOPMOD M4 was a variation of the M4A1 that featured heavily throughout the Call of Duty 4 campaign as the preferred weapon of Captain Price and Soap. Of course, the M4A1 is accessible in Warzone as a Modern Warfare Assault Rifle.

With the right attachments, the weapon is instantly recognizable and thanks to Warzone expert TheKoreanSavage, you can recreate the SOPMOD M4 in Warzone Pacific Season 4.

Now is the perfect time to try out this unique version of the M4A1 as Modern Warfare Assault Rifles are currently making waves in the Season 4 long-range meta. The weapon was even singled out as one of the top options to use when it comes to Modern Warfare weapons.

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Optic: Thermal Hybrid
  • Underbarrel: M203 40mm Recon
  • Magazine: 60 Round Mags

When it comes to picking attachments, TheKoreanSavage attempts to strike a balance between making the weapon viable and maintaining the look and feel of the SOPMOD M4. To do so TheKoreanSavage forgoes a barrel attachment.

The mounted launcher underbarrel is necessary to capture the SOPMOD look. Luckily, players can choose between several different options including one that provides smokes, flashes, incendiary, or explosive rounds. TheKoreanSavage opts for the M203 40mm Recon as the Snapshots provide vital intel.

The 60 Round Mags will make up for the lack of accuracy that may arise without a barrel: “without a barrel, you definitely need the 60 rounds.” Finally, the Thermal Hybrid provides the sight that matches the original aesthetic of the SOPMOD perfectly.
