You’ll encounter all sorts of people when playing GTA Online, and you may not want to hear from all of them, so here’s everything you need to know about how to mute players in GTA Online.

GTA Online has become one of the most popular online multiplayer games ever since its release in 2013. There are various cars, weapons, and missions to try out as Rockstar Games continue to add more content through weekly updates.

The game also provides you with the opportunity to make new friends with online strangers, but not all of them will be fun to interact with. That’s why the game has a feature that allows you to mute these players.

If a player is being irritating or there is a ton of noise on their end, then you can mute them through the GTA Online Players menu. This helpful feature ensures that you don’t have to hear any loud or inappropriate players.

Here’s how you can mute players in GTA Online:

  1. Go to the Pause Menu
  2. Select the “Online” tab
  3. Scroll down to and select “Players”
  4. Select the player you wish to Mute and then pick “Options”
  5. Select “Toggle Mute”

Once this is done, you won’t have to worry about hearing that player anymore. GTA Online also allows you to control who you can hear through the Voice Chat option. This ensures that you only hear from a specific group.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Go to the Interaction Menu
  2. Scroll down and select “Voice Chat”
  3. Select the group that you would like to hear in the Voice Chat

That covers everything you need to know about muting other players in GTA Online. Now, you can hop into a lobby without having to worry about extensive noise and inappropriate players ruining your experience.

Alternatively, you can avoid other players by forming or joining a solo public lobby in GTA Online. This ensures that there aren’t other players that you have to hear on the voice chat.
