Following the recent trend of unvaulting older content for Destiny 2, the Hung Jury Legendary Scout Rifle is the latest weapon that Bungie has brought back. Find out how you can own your own version of this dominating gun in Season of the Splicer.

Destiny 2 has provided long-time fans with a nice nostalgia trip by bringing back various elements of yesteryear. In Beyond Light alone, we’ve seen the re-emergence of the Hawkmoon Exotic Handcannon, and in Season of the Splicer, Guardians will get to venture inside the Vault of Glass again.

In addition to this, Bungie has also brought back the Legendary Hung Jury Scout Rifle, and our complete guide will assist you in your quest to add it to your collection in Destiny 2.

As far as we know, like some other Destiny weapons, you can only obtain the Hung Jury Scout Rifle via a random drop.

It seems to be completely up to the RNG gods, and we’ll explain your best chances of landing one.

Play Nightfall: The Ordeal to drop Hung Jury

As with anything else in Destiny 2, the game will reward players who are taking on the best that the game has to offer. If you want to increase the likelihood of securing a rare Hung Jury drop, then you’ve got to be playing under difficult circumstances.

The Nightfall: The Ordeal strike is the perfect way to do that thanks to its myriad of Champions and other high-level, tougher enemies that you can modify.

You’ll need to set the conditions to be brutal, survive, and hope that your final reward chest contains a Hung Jury Legendary Scout Rifle drop. If not, it’s a case of rinse and repeat until you manage to land one.

Also, replaying Nightfall is a great way to level up and reach Season of the Splicer’s Max Power Cap Level.

When does Destiny 2 Season of the Splicer end and Season 15 start?

With Season of the Splicer well underway, we need to start looking ahead to Season 15 and what bungie may have planned for Destiny players.

destiny 2 season 15

Destiny 2’s Beyond Light expansion continued with the launch of Season of the Splicer, but Season 15 will be here before we know it. Here’s everything we know about the next season of Destiny 2 so far.

Season of the Splicer has proven to be a bit of bumper season for Destiny 2 with some ground-breaking features added to the game. The long-awaited and promised Transmog has finally debuted in Destiny 2 with players now encouraged to hoard all the Synthstrand, Synthcord, and Synthweave to do so.

Not only that, but we also saw the return of the first-ever Destiny Raid – Vault of Glass. The season as a whole carried on from where Season of the Chosen left off by adding more Weekly Challenges and providing regular updates, and we expect all of this to continue in Season 15.

When will Destiny 2 Season of the Splicer end?

destiny 2 splicer

Each season of Destiny is a lengthy one, typically lasting three months in total. Bungie has given no sign that Season of the Splicer is going to be any different.

With this in mind, we can expect the latest season of Destiny 2 to finish up on August 24. With many more Weekly Challenges and extra content to be drip-fed into the game, Guardians still have a lot more cool stuff to look forward to.

When will Destiny 2 Season 15 start?

destiny 2 season of the splicer trailer

As usual, unless Bungie has something gigantic planned or has severe issues with their services, the downtime will be minimal at best.

So Guardians can expect to gear up and take to the terrain on either the same day that the Season finishes – August 24 – or at a push August 25.

Crossplay finally coming to Destiny 2 Season 15

destiny 2 battle

Originally announced in the February 25, 2021 Bungie blog update, crossplay will finally be landing in Destiny 2 which will be music to the ears of many.

When discussing some future content updates such as the Witch Queen being pushed back to 2022, the team talked about how Crossplay would be implemented.

Crossplay is coming to the masses in Season 15. We’ll be doing some internal rollouts and alpha tests in Season 14 to prepare for a widespread launch this fall. With Crossplay, you’ll be able to play with all your friends no matter what platform you call home.

And don’t worry, we won’t be matching console and PC players together in the Crucible unless PC players specifically invite their console friends to play with them in the PC Crucible pools.”

Other major features in Destiny 2 Season 15

destiny 2 season of the splicer gameplay

In the same blog post, the team also dropped some additional info regarding changes they hope to make happen in Season 15.

Here are the proposed Destiny 2 Season 15 changes:

  • “We will be addressing “three-peeking” in Trials and Competitive. In these modes, emotes will be disabled and players will be unable to pull out any third person weapon that doesn’t have ammo
  • We are also looking at universal adjustments to Stasis by increasing damage reduction when frozen to provide more survivability for the victim
  • We will also focus on Light subclasses and release a set of targeted buffs to our most underutilized specializations
  • We will also be looking to adjust overall ability usage rates to make sure guns and gunplay are always key to success in the Crucible
  • We will introduce our first round of Legendary Stasis Energy and Power weapons”

As we start getting closer to the Season’s official unveiling, we’ll be able to update this page with crucial and essential information.
