The LaLiga TOTS is set to follow the Bundesliga TOTS squad as a part of the highly anticipated FIFA 22 Team of the Season promo. The LaLiga squad highlights the best that Spain has to offer as Ultimate Team players attempt to secure some of the top cards in the game.

The squad that includes several Real Madrid and Barcelona players was decided by your vote. As the FIFA 22 cycle begins to wind down, you’ll have a great opportunity to strengthen your squad for the endgame.

LaLiga TOTS release date

The FIFA 22 LaLiga TOTS will hit FUT on Friday, May 20 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST. Once the LaLiga TOTS squad is available in-game, those players will replace Bundesliga TOTS players in packs.

Voting began on Tuesday, May 3 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST and closed on Friday, May 6 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST. This could be the last TOTS squad decided by fan vote.

While LaLiga may have lost their global star in Lionel Messi, the 2021/2022 season still managed to provide some spectacular thrills. Real Madrid have all but secured yet another league title, and their striker Karim Benzema is having a Ballon d’Or worthy season.

Team of the Season is always the biggest promo of the year, as the very best players from LaLiga, Ligue 1, and other top leagues over the past season are given massively upgraded cards.

For FIFA 22, EA are kicking things up a notch, as a Tokens system features for the first time in the event. First introduced as part of Icon Swaps, Tokens Swaps have played a huge role in FUT this year, including promos like Future Stars and FUT Birthday.

But how does FIFA 22 TOTS Token Swaps work? Here’s everything we know so far.

FIFA 22 TOTS Token Swaps start date

After EA confirmed that TOTS Token Swaps would arrive in FUT, the program started on May 6 in FIFA 22. EA later confirmed that as of May 20 you’ll be able to redeem all of the tokens you collect between May 6 and May 27.

They also hinted that fans are in store for a second swaps program that would kick-off when the first one comes to a close on May 27. This second program will likely focus on a combination of LaLiga, Ligue 1, and Serie A rewards.

What are FIFA 22 TOTS Swaps?

The Swaps system asks players to earn Tokens by completing in-game objectives and SBCs, which can then be submitted for rewards. You can choose to save up all of your Tokens for the top prize, or splash them on multiple smaller rewards – the choice is all yours.

Tokens are added almost every day, and while most are easy to spot, some have been known to be smuggled away in one of the individual Marquee Matchup SBCs. We recommend checking FUT every day at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT / 7 PM CET to make sure you see them all.

EA confirmed that there are 25 to earn in total, with the best reward requiring 22. Keep your eyes peeled, as you can only afford to skip three if you want to scoop the highest prize.

TOTS Swaps rewards give players the opportunity to open packs that guarantee a TOTS from one of the most desirable leagues. There are also some tasty-looking Icon Moments in there for those who want to know what they’re getting before committing.

It’s time for another FIFA 22 Team of the Week. In FIFA 22 TOTW 35, there are some huge names for people to add to their teams and we’ve got all the details listed for you.

Ultimate Team remains the most popular mode in the FIFA series. One of the many reasons for this is incorporating real-world football into its addictive gameplay loop through special cards, such as Icons or the upcoming TOTS.

One of the mode’s oldest promotions is ‘Team of the Week’, which offers players a weekly batch of upgraded cards, based on real-life player performances the previous week, to help build out their squads.

FIFA 22 FUT TOTW 35

The FIFA 22 TOTW 35 is here and the star power is shining this week with the race for Champions League spots in the Premier League and Serie A’s title challenge still undecided. For those who like to try out new cards and have the funds to do so, FIFA’s TOTW is great.

What are TOTW cards in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team?

Team of the Week items are special cards that boost stats based on that player’s performance in the previous week of real-world games. Any player awarded an in-form will see both their ratings and in-game stats get a permanent increase.

Every week, EA unveils a 23-man squad of the stars who had the best games in the previous domestic or international fixtures round. They could be awarded for a last-minute winner in a big game or a heroic performance from a goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet.

Each TOTW is available in packs for an entire week until it is replaced by the next squad on the following Wednesday. Players can’t receive an in-form two weeks in a row.

While an in-form card is in packs, it replaces the base version of that player. The normal card will return to packs when that TOTW is over.

FIFA 22 Ultimate Team Featured TOTW

In FIFA 22, EA has addressed fans’ complaints that TOTW items are often quickly rendered useless by the other promotional cards added to the game throughout the year.

Every week, one player will receive a special Featured TOTW card. These players will receive a larger boost than the rest of the squad in an attempt to make them more desirable to those building their teams.

To qualify for this additional stat boost, the player must have a base card that is under 80-rated and not have any other performance-based card in packs – such as a Ones to Watch.

When is the TOTW released?

Historically, EA announces the latest TOTW every Wednesday so that any Monday night games can be considered.

Each new team is normally Tweeted out around 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT with a full look at every upgrade.
