Halo Infinite players have been waiting for the Forge mode to arrive since launch, with many creative players eager to get their hands on the building systems and create their own spaces to enjoy.
The Halo Forge creative tool has now officially arrived in Halo Infinite for the Winter Update, and the devs claim that it is now “more powerful than ever.”
That said, for those looking to take advantage of the creative tool, here’s how to play Halo Infinite Forge.
How to play Forge in Halo Infinite
The Forge beta has arrived in Halo Infinite’s 2022 Winter Update patch, and players can follow these steps to access the mode:
- First, select the “Play” tab on the main menu
- Then, select “Forge” to start a lobby (online connection needed)
- Select your “preferred Forge canvas or load an existing Forge map to edit”
- Lastly, press the “Play” to launch the Forge session
Forge has a lot of “advanced and accessible tools” for players to use, and also boasts a “vast suite of additions and improvements to empower community cartographers.”
Keep in mind that Halo Infinite’s Forge mode is in beta, so there are currently only six canvas maps. Having said that, the beta brings “new visual scripting engine, object scaling, lighting and audio tools, bot support, huge budget increases, file sharing capabilities, and much more to help you create and share your maps, modes, and prefabs.”
Despite being a beta, Halo Infinite’s Forge mode is a permanent addition to the game and will see updates in the future, so you don’t have to worry about it disappearing before you get to create.
