How to pre-load Black Ops Cold War on PS4, Xbox, & PC

The launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is almost here, and fans can get ready by pre-loading the game on each platform.

We’ve got some details for when and how players on all platforms will be able to start pre-loading Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, based on the store listings on PlayStation.

Activision has officially announced the pre-load information for all platforms.

Here’s everything you need to know for each platform.

PlayStation

Pre-loading of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War for PlayStation 4 is now live on PlayStation Store for everyone who has pre-ordered a digital copy of Black Ops Cold War.

For PS4, similar to Modern Warfare, there will be content packs to download for each of the three modes of the game.

Here’s the launch file sizes for the two platforms:

PlayStation 4: 95GB
PlayStation 5: 133GB

Note: console players can choose to uninstall specific game mode packs, such as for Campaign or Zombies, in order to reduce the game’s overall file size. This content can be managed in-game through the “Account & Network” section of the Settings menu.

For customers getting a PlayStation 5 on launch day, you will be able to immediately pre-load Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War when you get the console. For those getting theirs on November 12, be sure to load up the PlayStation Store to start the download immediately ahead of the Nov. 13 launch.

For regions that are getting PS5 on Nov. 19, Black Ops Cold War will be available for download and play as soon as you get your console.

Xbox

Players getting Black Ops Cold War on Xbox, Activision has confirmed a time for pre-load. Pre-load for Black Ops Cold War on Xbox is live for everyone who has pre-ordered a digital copy of Black Ops Cold War.

Here’s the file sizes for Xbox platforms:

Xbox One: 93GB
Xbox Series X|S: 136GB

For Xbox Series X|S owners, you can now also pre-load Black Ops Cold War and get ready for Nov. 13 launch.

PC (Battle.net)

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on PC is available exclusively on Blizzard Battle.net. Activision has officially announced a pre-load time for PC. Pre-loading will be available on November 10 at 10AM PT.

As announced by Activision, Black Ops Cold War is expected to be a 35 GB (Multiplayer Only) / 82GB (Full Game) / 125GB (Full Game on Ultra Graphics) download.

Note: PC players can also choose to install specific game mode packs, such as for Campaign and Zombies, in order to reduce the game’s overall file size. Also note the updated PC file size numbers.
