How to throw C4 twice as far in Warzone Season 3

YouTuber JGOD has explained how you can throw C4 twice as far in Warzone Season 3, easily taking out any vehicles that come your way.

YouTuber JGOD has demonstrated a simple trick to throw C4 twice as far in Warzone Season 3, countering its previous nerf.

When Warzone first launched in March 2020, C4 was the go-to Lethal Equipment. Not only was it capable of destroying vehicles instantly, but it could be thrown insanely far. Due to its power and popularity, the C4 received a significant nerf, limiting how far you can throw them.

After this, Semtex and Thermite Grenades appear to be the better option, but YouTuber JGOD has explained how you can throw C4 twice as far in Season 3.

How JGOD throws C4 twice as far in Warzone

Warzone C4

As vehicles drive at you in Warzone, hell-bent on running you over for a free kill, a well-thrown C4 can often be the difference between life and death. Unfortunately, with the updated C4 throw, this is much more difficult to pull off, and your timing has to be impeccable.

JGOD demonstrates how moving allows you to throw the C4 further. Running makes the C4 go further than walking, and Tac Sprinting makes it go further than running. This is quite a simple trick, but there’s one mechanic that could trip players up when trying to execute the perfect C4 toss.

‘Jump throw’ is a standard mechanic in most shooters such as Call of Duty and CSGO. By jumping as you throw, you give the grenade more momentum, thus throwing it further. However, it’s easy to trip up while doing this with the C4.

As JGOD explains, if you run, jump, and then throw, you’ll lose all momentum and the C4 will flop out of your hands. But if you Tac Sprint, throw, and then jump, your C4 will go twice as far.

With the dominance of bertha trucks in solos and the prominence of building campers in Verdansk ’84, this C4 trick will give you much more versatility in your gameplay.

Forgotten Cold War weapon is Warzone’s highest K/D Assault Rifle

While Vanguard guns dominate Warzone lobbies, it’s actually a forgotten Cold War Assault Rifle that boasts the highest K/D ratio.

The C58 has almost been forgotten in Warzone Pacific’s Vanguard-heavy meta, but the weapon actually boasts the best K/D of any Assault Rifle.

Vanguard weapons have been dominating Warzone’s list of most popular guns, with everyone keen to try out and level up the brand-new guns. However, YouTuber JGOD recently explained that it’s Black Ops Cold War’s weapons you should be using

The C58 Assault Rifle burst into Warzone’s meta in Cold War Season 4, but nerfs and new guns arriving means it doesn’t even crack the top 20 most popular anymore. That may change, as it has the highest kill to death ratio (K/D) of any Assault Rifle in the game, and could even retake the top spot.

JGOD pointed out on January 26 that the C58 boasts the highest K/D of any weapon in the Warzone, meaning that players who use it are typically performing much better than those who use other weapons.

Now on January 28, WZ Ranked’s data reveals that the Owen Gun has overtaken the C58 by 0.1, making this Vanguard SMG the highest K/D weapon in the game. The Owen Gun currently holds an impressive 1.35 K/D, while the C58 comes in just behind at 1.34.

While there’s every chance the C58 reclaims its throne, it’s still the highest K/D Assault Rifle in Warzone Pacific Season 1. The EM2 is the next best with 1.27, and Vanguard’s Cooper Carbine comes in third with a 1.10 K/D.

JGOD explained that while the EM2 was considered overpowered, the C58 was “a hair worse.” The EM2 got nerfed while the C58 remained untouched, so many didn’t realize that it had become one of the best weapons in the game.

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: 18.5″ Task Force
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Ammunition: 45 Rnd Drum

These are the meta attachments for the C58, and this specific build has a whoppingly high 1.52 K/D ratio.

The Agency Suppressor and Task Force Barrel increase the C58’s range and damage, making it lethal at a medium-long range. Then, the Axial Arms 3x optic offers the perfect level of magnification to hit these far-off targets.

The Field Agent Grip will keep the C58 steady, and the 45 Rnd Drum gives you enough bullets for all your battle royale needs.

CoD leakers claim Warzone may never get console FOV slider

As rumors surrounding Warzone 2 come to light, CoD leakers have shared some disappointing news for console players hoping for an FOV slider.

While console Warzone players have been desperate for an FOV slider to hit the game, prominent leakers claim that it’s “not possible” on previous-gen hardware. However, it may arrive with the rumored Warzone 2.

A field of view (FOV) slider allows players to increase how much information the game displays – helping you spot enemies that would otherwise be cut off at the side of the screen. Both Cold War and Vanguard received FOV sliders on console, but it’s still missing from Warzone.

Players have been begging Raven to add one to the game but it’s looking more and more unlikely. Rumors have been swirling around Warzone 2, and CoD leakers have claimed that the original Warzone won’t receive a console FOV slider but the sequel could.

Warzone FOV slider

In a livestream discussing everything they know about 2023’s rumored Warzone 2, industry insiders Tom Henderson and TheMW2Ghost discussed how Warzone’s sequel may only arrive on PC and next-gen consoles.

This would allow the devs to go all-out in developing the new CoD battle royale, without being limited by hardware that would be ten years old at the time of release.

Henderson is confident that “Warzone 2 will be current-gen only,” and the MWGhost said that this would allow them to implement an FOV slider without having to balance the old and current-gen consoles.

However, this news makes it extremely unlikely that Warzone’s current iteration will receive one. Henderson said that “the reason we’re not getting an FOV slider is because it’s technically not possible.”

MW2Ghost explained that “to sustain a nice resolution, an FOV slider would sacrifice graphics.” Console Warzone features dynamic resolution scaling, where the game reduces its visuals to maintain steady performance. An FOV slider would likely be so taxing that Warzone would either have to sacrifice graphics or performance.

Raven Software have said that they’re aware of requests for an FOV slider, but haven’t given any timeframe.

There’s no guarantee an FOV slider will arrive on a next-gen version of Warzone, but it’s much more likely than it arriving in Warzone’s current iteration.

Warzone Season 2 leaks claim Rebirth Island may be removed

According to notable Call of Duty insiders, Rebirth Island could soon be replaced in Warzone Pacific Season 2.

Rebirth Island in Warzone

A new leak from notable Call of Duty insiders have claimed that Warzone’s Rebirth Island may be replaced when the battle royale’s second season launches in February.

Warzone Season 1’s Pacific update gave fans a refreshing change of scenery with the addition of the Caldera map. The map may only be a couple of months old, but the game’s developers have hinted that we could see some map changes in February’s Season 2.

It seems that Caldera won’t be the only map in Warzone to go through changes in the new update. According to new leaks, Rebirth Island could be replaced with a new map in the upcoming season.

These leaks came from prominent CoD insiders ‘Tom Henderson’ and ‘TheMW2Ghost’ in a January 27 live stream, who shared some rumors about what Raven may have planned for Warzone Pacific Season 2.

TheMW2Ghost claimed that the developers may be planning to replace the popular Rebirth map: “Recently, I was told this map is coming. It’s a new map and it’s for the Warzone anniversary.”

They admitted that they don’t have any details about the new map’s size or location. The leakers also explained that it’s possible that it could just be a “new themed version of [Rebirth].”

If these leaks are accurate, then Rebirth Island could be replaced in a matter of weeks. Another notable CoD leaker ‘TheGhostOfHope’ referred to this new area as the ‘Resurgence’ map.

This insider also added that the plans for this new location aren’t confirmed, claiming that the Warzone developers haven’t decided if the Resurgence map will “replace or rotate with Rebirth Island.”

While this all sounds exciting, it’s worth keeping in mind that these are currently just leaks, and these haven’t been officially confirmed by the developers.

Rebirth Island has a limited lobby size of just 40 players and a smaller layout than Caldera. The close-quarters action makes it popular among Warzone players, and it will be missed if it’s removed from the game.
