Wonder Weapon in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

The Outbreak mode brings an exciting twist to the classic Zombies experience in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. For maximum mayhem, players can get a set of Wonder Weapons so here’s to get every Wonder Weapon in Outbreak Zombies mode.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War‘s Zombies Outbreak mode has unlockable Wonder Weapons like the Ray Gun, R.A.I. K-84, D.I.E. Shockwave, and CRBR-S. These special weapons can cause plenty of destruction while fighting against Zombies.

They feature in all of Cold War’s key Zombies maps and can also be obtained in Outbreak. So here’s how to get every Wonder Weapon in Call of Duty: Cold War Outbreak Zombies mode.

How to get Wonder Weapons in CoD: Cold War Outbreak Zombies

Loot Crates

Loot Crates in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
Loot crates are present in all Black Ops Cold War Outbreak maps.

Loot crates are placed throughout each of Black Ops Cold War Outbreak maps and include tons of items, equipment, and even guns for players to obtain. Meaning that if fate is smiling in your favor, it may grant you a Legendary Wonder Weapon upon opening a chest.

We think your best bet will be the Golden Loot Chest, which can be acquired via a side quest you may run into on certain rounds of Outbreak.

Here’s how to find and complete the side mission:

  1. On your map, look for a symbol that looks like a cloud with a lightning bolt striking a chest.
  2. Approach the chest and hold the prompted button to activate the side quest.
  3. Lots of Zombies will now teleport into your location.
  4. You need to keep killing them until they stop spawning.
  5. Once you’re certain the area is clear, approach the Golden Loot Chest and hold the use button.
  6. It will spew a host of rewards, including the Full-Power ability.

It’s completely up to luck which rewards the chest will bestow upon you, but it’s a fairly simple activity and could easily reward you with a Wonder Weapon.

Trials

Trials are quick challenges players can take on in Black Ops Cold War Outbreak.

Trials are not new to Black Ops Cold War Zombies but still give exceptional rewards if they are undertaken and completed. We highly recommend upgrading your Trials rewards to the “Legendary” tier before redeeming them. If you’re done with an Outbreak round, you can still teleport to the next one and keep your previous progress from the last map.

Legendary rewards do not guarantee a Wonder Weapon, but they do always drop a Pack-A-Punched weapon. So if you do get a Wonder Weapon, then you’re well on your way.

Here’s a full list of all the possible Trials you could randomly get:

  • Get Multiple Kills As Quickly As Possible.
  • Take Damage and Recover Health.
  • Kill Zombies with Equipment.
  • Remain Inside Location As Long As Possible.
  • Kill Zombies in the Dark Aether.
  • Kill Any Zombies In Location.
  • Rebuild Barricades.
  • Kill Enemies from a Higher Elevation.
  • Avoid Taking Damage.
  • Kill Enemies with Melee Attacks.
  • Kill Zombies with Hip Fire.
  • Kill Enemies Within Close Range.
  • Kill Zombies While Crouched.
  • Kill Zombies That Are Unaware of any player’s presence.
  • Kill Zombies With Critical Finishers.

On top of this, Trials also drop lots of Essence and power-ups for your team too.

Elite/Boss enemies: Krasny Soldats, Megatons & Orda

Bosses in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
Boss enemies in Black Ops Cold War Outbreak can be found at random spots on the map.

Sometimes you don’t have to go hunting for big boss enemies in Black Ops Cold War as they will come to you. Megaton enemies and Krasny Soldats will usually be gleefully wandering around the map once you get a few maps deep.

These boss Zombies spawn at random on the map, and sometimes during main and side quests. The loot drops for these Zombies are always great, so if you eliminate enough, you’ll eventually be given a Wonder Weapon and lots of Essence to upgrade it.

Mystery Box

Mystery boxes are risky but can offer great rewards in Black Ops Cold War.

The classic gambling strategy that Black Ops Cold War Zombies fans have learned to have a love-and-hate relationship with. For the low cost of 950 points, you can risk your points in the hope of landing a Wonder Weapon.

However, in true gambling fashion, don’t start throwing points at the box because it’s given you seven Sniper Rifles in a row. You could get one first go, or after fifty, by which point you could’ve Pack-A-Punched a regular gun to the max.

Ronald Raygun

Ronald Raygun is one of Black Ops Cold War’s most amusing Easter Eggs.

No, that is not a misprint, an effective way to land yourself a Ray Gun is to find and eliminate Ronald Raygun in Black Ops Cold War. An amusing Easter Egg added during the Season 3 Outbreak update, if you’re able to find this pink-haired punk and kill him, then he’ll drop a free Ray Gun.

The only problem with Ronald is that he could literally show up in any place, any time. His whereabouts and time of arrival are completely random. People have encountered him during Round 1, whereas he’s bypassed others completely. So keep on the lookout for him.

Fishing

Fishing in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
Players can enjoy a bit of fishing in Black Ops Cold War Outbreak mode.

Fishing is a mini-game in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The game’s Outbreak mode has fishing spots where players can cast a rod and reel in some goodies.

Along with Essence and Perks, there’s also the chance of acquiring a Wonder Weapon from a fishing spot. The odds of doing this will be extremely low, and it might not be worth your time, but if you’re in need and have time to spare, then why not try a spot of fishing?

That was to unlock Wonder Weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Ops Zombies Outbreak mode.
