How to unlock Gjallarhorn in Destiny 2
One of the most iconic Exotic weapons from Destiny is returning. Here is how to unlock the Gjallarhorn in Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 is filled with several Exotic weapons that each have unique functions. Some are considered garbage, while others are overpowered. Some Exotic weapons were left behind in Destiny 1 and haven’t made their way to the sequel.
Even four years after launch, new and returning weapons are still being added to Destiny 2. During the Destiny 2 Showcase 2021, a fan favorite Destiny 1 Exotic weapon was revealed.
Bungie is celebrating 30 years as a developer, and they are throwing a huge event in Destiny 2. Starting in December, players can unlock the legendary Gjallarhorn in Destiny 2.
How to Unlock the Gjallarhorn in Destiny 2
Gjallarhorn is a famous Exotic Rocket Launcher from Destiny 1 that hasn’t been available in Destiny 2. It was known as the most overpowered weapon in Destiny and was somewhat required to complete higher-level activities.
Now, the weapon of legend returns this December in celebration of Bungie’s 30th Anniversary. Players will have to purchase the Destiny 2: Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack to unlock the Gjallarhorn in Destiny 2 via the dungeon it is available in.
The new dungeon takes place in the fabled “Loot Cave” on the cosmodrome. The three-player dungeon will have plenty of fan-favorite weapons and new armor.
However, the crown jewel of the new dungeon is the Gjallarhorn in Destiny 2. The Exotic Launcher will likely be awarded to players who can conquer the Loot Cave.
We will update this piece with more information regarding how to unlock the Gjallarhorn in Destiny 2 when it is made available.
The Gjallarhorn will be updated to better fit with Destiny 2’s sandbox gameplay. The changes made to the Gjallarhorn haven’t been outlined, but we will keep you updated.
In Destiny 1, the Gjallarhorn had tracking warheads and massive damage output. Hopefully, none of the weapon’s best features are compromised with its update.
