One of the most popular weapons from the Destiny Series, the Hawkmoon hand cannon, is finally coming back in Beyond Light’s Season of the Hunt and we’ve got all the info on how to grab it as soon as it’s available.
In the first game, the exotic was a reward for high-level activities like Raids and Nightfall Strikes, and quickly became renowned for the amount of damage it could do in the right hands.
While definitely not as outlandish as some of Destiny 2’s other weapons, plenty of people are looking forward to the return of the Hawkmoon, as well as its powerful upgrades.
Perks like ‘Luck in the Chamber’ and ‘Holding Aces’ both add considerable extra damage on up to three random bullets in the magazine, making it possible to cut down quite a few foes with just 13 shots before having to reload.
How to unlock the Hawkmoon in Destiny 2
Players will be able to embark on an exotic quest to get their hands on The Hawkmoon in Destiny 2: Season of the Hunt.
Even though almost everyone is looking forward to getting the weapon, the quest hasn’t been added to Beyond Light’s first season pass just yet.
We’ll throw a full guide on this article as soon as it comes out though, so stay tuned on Twitter @theDestinyBlog for the latest updates on the expansion as they happen.
As we mentioned, there’s been no official word on what the quest to unlock the Hawkmoon might entail, but if the recent ones are anything to go by, it could take some time to finish.
From what we’ve seen so far, Season of the Hunt will continue to flush out the Destiny universe with more story content, new activities called Wraithborn Hunts, and much more, which you can read about right here.
