Here’s how to unlock the new QXR SMG in Season 13 of Call of Duty Mobile – “Winter War”
Season 13 of Call of Duty Mobile “Winter War” has arrived and brings a brand new battle pass among new rewards and weapons. One of the new weapons comes in the form of a fast-firing and compact SMG, the “QXR”.
It’s quite the deadly weapon, and bears a resemblance to the VMP from Black Ops 3 and 4. The VMP in those games was powerful and a choice among competitive players, so that should definitely speak for the potential power of this weapon.
You can see the QXR in action below from YouTuber iFerg.
How to unlock the QxR
To unlock this SMG, just complete the new Run & Gun seasonal event. This event is a gauntlet style event, so you’ll have to complete a set of 8 challenges. At the end, you’ll be rewarded with the QXR SMG, among other prizes along the way.
- Kill 20 enemies in any mode.
- Kill 30 enemies with any SMG.
- Kill 50 enemies with any SMG.
- Kill 30 enemies with an SMG equipped with any three attachments.
- Kill 30 enemies with an SMG equipped with any four attachments.
- Kill 30 enemies with the PDW-57 equipped with any two attachments.
- Kill 20 enemies with the PDW-57 equipped with any five attachments.
- Kill 20 enemies with a Cordite equipped with any three attachments.
We recommend playing some aggressive Domination or TDM to get these challenges done fast, perhaps on Nuketown Russia. You’ll easily be able to knock out your challenges.

Two Modern Warfare weapons come to CoD Mobile Season 1
New weapons are returning with the release of CoD Mobile Season 1 in 2021, as confirmed by the developers.
Activision has confirmed two weapons from the Modern Warfare franchise will be added to CoD Mobile in Season One of 2021.
CoD Mobile Season One will include more returning weapons from beloved Call of Duty games, with the Modern Warfare franchise being the first flavor of the year. Season 13 “Winter War” brought players holiday Raid & Nuketown from Black Ops, along with the Fennec, Razorback, and AGR 556.
The weapons were confirmed via the official CoD Mobile Twitter account, showing players two mysterious new weapons.
The first tweet reads “A new weapon is approaching, can you guess what it is?” with an image of a Famas attached below. This teaser hints at the return of the fan-favorite Modern Warfare weapon, which made its most recent appearance in the 2019 release under the name “FFAR”.
The Famas is well known to be a high-power, medium-range rifle capable of taking out targets in one to two bursts consistently. The Modern Warfare 2 iteration is by far the best of the franchise. For firepower purposes, let’s hope we see something similar.
Following the Famas teaser, a second one was posted soon after with the caption “Wait… there’s more?! Can you guess what weapon this is?” with an image of an SKS attached. The SKS appeared in Modern Warfare 2019 and was a marksman rifle.
The SKS offers modest firepower at long range for a semi-automatic rifle, which allows players to take out crowds with ease. The recoil is a bit extreme, but this weapon is meant to reward the most skilled players.
Following CoD trends, these weapons may not drop into the game with the same names. The Famas may be called the FFAR like in Modern Warfare 2019, and the SKS may have a completely different name.
We expect these weapons to drop with the CoD Mobile 2021 Season One Update.

Attack of the Undead could be returning to COD Mobile
Attack of the Undead could be returning to Call of Duty mobile, as revealed in the most recent test build.
The Attack of the Undead mode could be making another return to COD Mobile in the coming weeks.
The popular 20 player battle royale limited-time mode, Attack of the Undead has been teased via the January test build for COD Mobile.
This mode pits survivors vs undead, with the goal of the undead to kill all survivors before the time runs out. Survivors on the other hand, simply need to live long enough for the timer to hit 0 to win. The game will begin with 2 randomly selected players to be zombies, who will originally be dropped in with their loadout.
After 2 additional players are infected, zombies will spawn in with knives instead. This is where teamwork will become paramount, as closing in the distance to a survivor will require lots of teammates for distractions. Survivors should also use the beginning of the game to loot up and secure an area to survive.
Once one survivor is remaining, they’ll be granted a death machine and extra health as a boost. As survivors score kills, they’ll be granted various perks to fight off the undead. Here’s the list:
- Vulture: Collect ammo from kills. (Scavenger)
- Amped: Faster weapon swap and reload speed.
- Restock: Faster operator skill activation.
Hopefully we’ll see this mode implemented into the next major COD mobile update.

Tips and tricks to dominate Grind on CoD Mobile
You can be the top dog in Call of Duty: Mobile’s Grind mode if you’re smart, and remember a few tips and tricks.
Call of Duty: Mobile has finally got the Grind mode as part of its recent Season 13 update. If you’re looking to come out on top during this multiplayer mode, then you should keep a few useful tips in mind.
Grind was a unique game mode that was first introduced in Call of Duty: Ghosts. It was initially only available through custom games, but its popularity led to it eventually becoming a true multiplayer mode when Modern Warfare was released in 2019.
Now, Activision has brought it to CoD Mobile as part of the Season 13 update, and it involves you collecting tags dropped by every enemy upon death. Your goal will be to bring these tags back to your team’s objective marker on the map.
This isn’t going to be a cakewalk, so here are a few useful tips to keep in mind to dominate the Grind game mode in Call of Duty: Mobile.
Mind your positioning in CoD Mobile’s Grind
If you want to collect enemy tags, you will need to control the center of the map. This is because it will increase your chances of surviving the journey back to your team’s base since it’s less risky than running from further away.

Don’t focus on aggressively pushing your way through enemy ranks, as this mode isn’t ideal for that. You’ll find yourself in a world of hurt if you stick to this type of planning, so be careful as you make your way forward.
That said, you can still be aggressive in your efforts to keep the enemy team from banking. You can put aside the objective of collecting tags, and instead focus on taking out foes while you’re positioned close to their base.
Hopefully, you’ll have a teammate or two that will focus on picking up tags from the enemies you bring down. Your focus will be on slowing them down in their efforts to rack up points.
Less is more in CoD Mobile’s Grind
As we mentioned earlier, you shouldn’t focus on playing aggressively in Grind. While you might be tempted to gun-down foes left and right while collecting as many tags as you can, this isn’t guaranteed to work out well for you.
If the enemy can eliminate you near their base while you have a large collection of tags on you, then your efforts will go to waste. They’ll have no issue taking back what you stole from them and you’ll end up helping them.
For this reason, less is often more in this game mode. You should focus on collecting a few tags and then making several round trips to your objective marker.
Stick with SMGs
Your weapon loadout choice will determine your chances of success in Grind. If you’re up for rushing into close combat, then you can’t do better than SMGs. They offer better mobility and speed than Assault Rifles.
This makes them the ideal choice for this game mode. You’ll be spending the majority of your time running and gunning in this mode, so it makes sense to choose a weapon that you can fire from the hip. You can do well with the AGR 556 after equipping a few attachments.
While Assault Rifles often dominate battle royales, they don’t offer the assurance that SMGs do during hectic close-range combat situations. You can have the AR users in your team hang back and provide cover fire.
In the end, the class you pick will be the key to your imminent victory. Just keep these tips in mind and you’ll be able to annihilate your foes in CoD Mobile’s Grind mode.
