Infinity Ward released a small hotfix update overnight in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone to include a Black Lives Matter message.

Players are now greeted with the following screen when they load up Modern Warfare and Warzone:

The message reads:

Black Lives Matter.

Our community is hurting. The systemic inequalities our community experiences are once again center stage. Call of Duty and Infinity Ward stand for equality and inclusion. We stand against the racism and injustice our Black community endures. Until change happens and Black Lives Matter, we will never truly be the community we strive to be.”

This is the latest from Activision and Call of Duty this week as they stand in solidarity with Black Lives Matter.

Earlier this week, the company delayed the releases of new Seasons for both Modern Warfare and Mobile till a a later date.

Infinity Ward also announced new steps they are taking to remove racist Activision IDs from their game, including new filters and more options to report those who have such names in game.

Black Lives Matter.
