Infinity Ward respond to glitch causing Modern Warfare 2 to crash when playing with party
Modern Warfare 2 players who are partied up have been on the receiving end of regular game crashes whilst playing MW2, and devs Infinity Ward have acknowledged the problem.
The wait is finally over and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is now fully live with millions of players around the world taking each other on in crossplay CoD action.
As with every iteration of the series, players are already finding the fastest ways to rank up and level up weapons quicker, as well as apparently breaking the game on day one with an unlimited Tactical Sprint exploit.
But it’s not all rosy though as partied-up players have been experiencing unfortunate crashing issues, causing players to have to restart the game and reconnect to one another.
The glitch appears to be completely random and this is understandably a frustrating annoyance for MW2 players who just want to dive into the game.
In quick fashion though, Infinity Ward have taken notice of the situation and communicated with the player base via the company’s official Twitter account.
“We’re aware of some players experiencing crashes when partied up. Please stay tuned as we investigate the issue,” they said.
Even though they didn’t properly elaborate on what the issue is or what’s causing it, it’s already very positive to see the team acknowledge what’s going on and realize there’s a problem.
Obviously, there’s a ton going on with the game as the devs seek to keep the game stable as the servers are overloaded with millions of players trying to play online. So we don’t expect this to be the first thing on their minds.
They also have one or two other fires to put out as PC players are currently baffled by the game running constant Scan & Repair operations, preventing the game from being played, and there is also the matter of the missing Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer map as well.
