Halo Infinite is one of the biggest games in the history of the franchise, but does 343 Industries’ behemoth support either crossplay or cross-progression for its Multiplayer Beta?

Unless you were one of the few that had heard murmurings of early release rumors, the gaming world was left stunned when 343 Industries announced during the Xbox 20th Anniversary event that Halo Infinite’s multiplayer was available to download.

Launching nearly a month early, Halo Infinite is already the most successful Xbox Game Studio title of all time on Steam. Fans can play Halo Infinite now, but will they will be able to crossplay with friends on different platforms? Plus, does it have any sort of cross-progression feature for cross-platform users?

Does Halo Infinite have cross-play and cross-platform features?

Thanks to a blog from Xbox, we can confirm that Halo Infinite does have both of these desired features for players to take advantage of.

The team discussed their commitment to continuing their PC gaming journey. This essentially means they are continuing to keep PC in mind, not just console.

Further in the article, they also confirmed big news for Halo Infinite cross-platform, stating:

“We know many of you play across more than just your PC, including on Xbox and mobile. That’s why we’re excited to announce Halo Infinite will support multiplayer cross-play and cross-progression when it releases later this year. That means if you’re playing on PC, you can play with your friends on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It also means that your multiplayer customization and progress will follow you across all platforms.”

Xbox also confirmed that they were working hard to give those PC gamers the optimized experience and support those on console receive:

“We have been working closely with the PC community to ensure that Halo Infinite offers a premier PC experience, including highly desired features such as support for ultrawide and super ultrawide screens, triple keybinds, a wide variety of advanced graphics options, and more. We want to make sure that Halo is serving the PC community.”

This is great news for those on PC who love the Halo experience, as they can be sure that 343 Industries will be working hard to make the game as best as possible for PC.

Also, for those who have friends on the other platforms, this means you can play together no matter what platforms you are all on, thanks to Halo Infinite cross-platform play.

For those on console, you also have nothing to worry about when it comes to Halo Infinite cross-platform, as the team will continue to do what they have always done for console, which is support it fully.

Even better, those on console worried about PC gamers being in their lobbies have no fear, as we’re sure there will be an option to turn cross-play off like other cross-platform games like in Warzone.
