Is Warzone Cross Platform

There are many features of Call of Duty: Warzone that newer players may be curious about, especially its cross-platform capabilities, which has plenty of players asking one question. Is Warzone cross-platform?

Call of Duty: Warzone has become one of the most popular multiplayer video games globally following its release in 2020, as the battle royale game has helped propel the fan-favorite franchise to new heights.

There are various features that Warzone has brought to the Call of Duty series that new players may not be familiar with, such as cross-platform play.

With the popularity of cross-platform play increasing in multiplayer games over the past few years, it is not surprising for players to wonder if games like Warzone support the ability to play with players on different platforms.

With this in mind, here is everything you need to know about Warzone cross-platform play.

Is Warzone cross-platform?

Yes, Warzone is indeed cross-platform, meaning that players on different consoles or players on PC can all play with each other. Gone are the days where you and your friends must all be on Xbox, PlayStation, or PC to play with each other.

The game’s Cross-platform works using Activision accounts, which players must create as their player profiles no matter the platform they are playing on. You can then invite other players on different platforms using your Activision account inside the Call of Duty battle royale itself.

However, different platforms have different options when it comes to cross-platform. Xbox and PC players do not have the ability to turn cross-play off, which means they must always play with players from different platforms.

PlayStation players have the ability to turn off cross-platform, which means that they can choose to only play with and against other PlayStation players. Doing so, however, may result in longer waits for games, considering you are reducing the potential player pool your lobbies can choose from when you turn cross-platform off.

There is no doubt that Warzone cross-platform play is one of the reasons the game has and will continue to see a great deal of success in the world of video games.
