JGOD explains why Bizon is “top-tier” in Warzone after major buff
Modern Warfare’s PP19 Bizon had a major issue in Warzone where it dealt less damage to one side of the body than the other. Now that’s been fixed, YouTuber JGOD believes the Bizon can be “top-tier viable” in Warzone.
The Bizon has long been an overlooked weapon in Warzone, being only the 77th most popular gun in the game. This was due to an issue that caused it to have an incredibly poor time-to-kill, where it only dealt 20-27 damage to the right side of the body and 34 to the left.
Warzone’s April 13 update fixed this issue, which gave the Bizon a major buff. YouTuber and meta expert JGOD has explained why this buff has explained why you need to try the Bizon again in Season 2 Reloaded.
The devs confirmed in the April 13 update patch notes that they “Fixed an issue with the [PP19 Bizon] causing right-side extremities to take 20 or 27 damage instead of 34.” YouTuber JGOD broke down what this meant, and discovered it’s given the Bizon a huge buff.
These changes give the Bizon a competitive TTK, especially with a headshot thrown in the mix, which “doesn’t make it overpowered but it does make it actually viable or even top-tier viable.” JGOD explained that a Recoil Booster would make it meta, but it’s “still very viable, super easy to use,” and “noob-friendly.”
It’s the damage-per-mag that makes it really shine though, especially with the health changes in Caldera. He said that with its default 64-round magazine, “you get to save an attachment and use it to solve something else because with most of the builds you need a bigger mag to make it viable.”
He also explained how even though the strafe-speed isn’t great, the bullet velocity, damage range, and ADS speed are all much better than the Owen Gun and MP40 — which are arguably the best SMGs in the game.
JGOD PP19 Bizon loadout
- Barrel: 8.7″ Polygonal
- Laser: Tac Laser
- Optic: G.I Mini Reflex
- Stock: No Stock
- Perk: Sleight of Hand
While these are JGOD’s go-to attachments for the Bizon, he explained that there are lots of ways that you can change it to suit your playstyle and needs.
For some more range, you can add the Monolithic Suppressor, or you could opt for the Corvus Skeleton Stock if you need some help with recoil control. Plus, you can remove the Optic if you’re comfortable with the iron sights.
