JGOD explains new Warzone suppressor attachment

Raven Software has made several significant changes to Cold War’s weapons in the Warzone Season 3 Reloaded update. The YouTuber and battle royale statistician JGOD has explained why you should be using the overhauled Suppressor.

Warzone’s Season 3 Reloaded update gave significant buffs to Cold War’s Sniper Rifles and made some welcome changes to SMGs. They also gave a significant tuning pass to the attachments for these weapons, giving Sniper Rifles a Tac Laser equivalent and buffing the standard Suppressor attachment.

The GRU/ Agency Silencer, modeled after Modern Warfare’s Monolithic Suppressor, has long been the meta for all Cold War weapons in Warzone. However, Raven Software has given the standard Suppressor some powerful new stats, and JGOD has explained why and when you should use it.

The new Suppressor now increases bullet velocity, ADS (aim down sight) speed, and sprint to fire speed. Both Suppressors offer attractive buffs to your weapons, so YouTuber JGOD has compared the two Suppressors and explained which situations you should use each of them in.

The GRU/ Agency Suppressor will still give roughly a 25% boost to bullet velocity, making it the best option for fighting long-range.

“If you’re using a long-range option only, like the Krig for long-range, everything 40 meters plus, you’re going to want to use the GRU just so you get the maximum bullet velocity,” JGOD explained. “Everything’s going to feel closer to hitscan.”

JGOD explained how you’re going to use the new Suppressor attachment for SMGs and Sniper support weapons which you’ll use to fight at close-medium range. You’ll get around a 15% increase to bullet velocity, which is still significantly better than without, but it will also hurt the weapons range by about 15%.

He explained that if you want to build your Assault Rifles for close range, you should use the new Suppressor, and “If we go to an SMG, a lot of people have been asking about the PPSH build, you’re going to go with the Sound Suppressor.”

JGOD has also updated his loadout ranking sheet to include the new Suppressor, so you know exactly which loadouts you should use it for.
