Warzone Pacific Season 4 is set to add the new Fortune’s Keep map, and Call of Duty expert JGOD has revealed in one of his biggest concerns with this brand-new location.

A plethora of new content is set to arrive when Warzone Pacific Season 4 finally goes live, and the most notable addition in the seasonal update is a brand-new map known as Fortune’s Keep.

This will be the biggest map update in the game since the arrival of Caldera back in December 2021, and Call of Duty expert JGOD has revealed one major concern that he has about Fortune’s Keep.

The Call of Duty developers shared an overhead view of the Fortune’s Keep Tac Map, and JGOD discussed the exact size and dimensions of the new Warzone location in a video on his channel.

He determined from the dimensions of the Tac Map that this new location is between two and two-and-a-half times bigger than the Rebirth Island, and the Call of Duty expert explained that the large scale could result in issues with gameplay.

JGOD stated: “This kind leads me to believe that maybe they’re going to change the player count because I don’t feel like a map of that size will probably play that well, even without playing it.”

Rebirth Island is known for its frantic gameplay, with the smaller play area leading to constant fights and more opportunities to spot enemies. With an increased map size, we may see fights become less frequent, something which players may not like.

He also stated that the developers could modify how quickly players respawn back in after dying. This would ensure that they take longer to rejoin the game, and the map would keep a smaller player count throughout most of its duration.

The large map size could also result in performance issues such as lagging due to the large number of assets that would need to be loaded.

At the time of writing, it remains to be seen whether or not the developers will reduce the player count or introduce another change to prevent performance issues when hopping into Fortune’s Keep.
